MATH135 is really easy if you put some effort into doing the work weekly and not fall behind. You just need basic knowledge of Logs, Exponentials, Differentiation/Integration (and i mean BASIC) and you're good to go. I made the mistake of messing around and being lazy for this subject and still...
I have a few questions regarding the MATH123 unit:
1) How hard is it? I've completed MATH135/MATH136 (Distinction/Credit) and currently doing MATH235(HD average right now). Would I be able to complete and get a D/HD with minimal effort with the skills I've gained from my other math courses...
PHYS143 Im assuming right? It shouldn't be a problem if you skip a few as long as you have at least 8 quiz completed or so. If you're unsure just send your current lecturer an email. (I think its James or Mark).
Thing is, I really want to do one of the sciences to expand my knowledge...and Physics (Especially relativity) and Chemistry sounds really brain fucking and I love thinking.
Im looking to pursue either Physics or Chemistry as part of my dual degree (B.Eng and B.Sci).
1) Which would go well with a Mechanical Engineering major looking to work in the mining industry? (Speaking in terms of job opportunities, and just general cohesion with each other)
2) At an...
You have a few options:
1) Don't buy textbooks.
2) Make friends that have those textbooks for you to leech.
3) Don't buy textbooks.
4) Torrents.
Did I mention don't buy textbooks? Because almost all of the materials covered in alot of subjects are widely available online.
If you didn't know what you wanted to get into uni for by end of year 11, beginning of year 12, you probably shouldn't be in Uni straight after HS.
1) If you know a career path, say Engineering, you know you should be doing at least mathematics, mathematics X1 and even X2 combined with...
Can't answer everything, I don't think anyone can ^^. Can only give my personal experiences.
High Distinction/ Distinction?
Like someone said above, grades are super weird here.
GPA: 50 = Pass(C to C+), 65=Credit(B to B+), 75= Distinction(A), 85= High Distinction(A+).
A distinction is...
I faced this choice last year as well.
I currently am doing Mechanical Engineering + Science (Looking at physics, could go Chemistry) at MQ with friends doing Engineering at USYD, UNSW and UTS.
From speaking with them, it seems as though that UTS' math department is usually ahead (as in...
I reckon you should do MATH130 first. If you're good, you can learn the stuff that you are required to know in MATH135 in less than a week through textbooks and khan academy.
So I have a 2 questions to ask you guys:
1) Im currently doing B.Eng and B.Science and this up coming semester 1 (2nd Yr) I have a free slot that isn't fixed for Engineering. Should I take a break and do some easy people & planet units or to get started doing my B.Science portion of the...
IM just curious guys, so please use http://www.speedtest.net/ and note down your down,up,ping and which uni you attend(and perhaps the equipment you did the test on) :P.

Macquarie University and was done on a Macbook Pro.
I do it a lot, but in an ironic sense.
People do it do it to express happiness (well at least i think so)
I do it whenever I fail at a maths equation or Chem.
As Title.
I need links/downloads for Past Module 1 Papers.
Ive already done module 1 questions from:
- COnquering Chem
