    Maths1141 vs maths1131

Hey thanks for the response :) how about the differences between phys1121 and phys1131 with regards to their difficulty. I think that HSC physics is completely different to Uni physics as hsc physics is a pile of crap

Say that two students, one doing MATHS1141 (Higher Maths 1A) and one doing MATHS1131 (Maths 1A) and both got 80%, would the student doing MATHS1141 get a higher mark (like thru scaling or something) than the student doing MATHS1131. Or in other words is there scaling like HSC ?? Also whats...

    pH of fertiliser

How would you obtain the pH of fertiliser, or better how do you prepare a solution of fertiliser. on another note what makes acid such a good preserving agent apart from delaying the growth of micro-organisms & bacteria

    Proof by Induction - Inequalities

    Thanks well i tried another 2n+2<2^n for n≥4 (Giving up on latex) 1) Basis Case: 2(4)+2 < 2^4 2(4)+2 < 2^4 gives 10 < 16 Thus basis case holds true for n=4 2) Induction hyp where 2k+2<2^k where k is a +ve integer 3) 2^k+1 = 2^k x k > (2k+2)2 (By induction hyp) > 4k+4

    Proof by Induction - Inequalities

Can anyone help me with the following: Proof my Mathematical Induction 2^k < 3^n for n≥1 (Where n is a positive integer), moreover I need general assistance with Induction of Inequalities as I can't really grasp how you can just sub in inequalities, and the general steps and approach.

    HSC 2013 MX2 Marathon (archive)

Re: HSC 2013 4U Marathon From Patel - Exercise 4O Q6 P is a variable point on the line x=4 and OPQR is a rectangle in which the length of OP is twice the length of OR. Find the locus of S in Cartesian form, where S is the point of intersection of the diagonals.
