    Usyd to Mac?

Trust the USyd students to bang on about prestige. Macquarie is very relaxed. My friends who go to USyd dress in a particular way: that sneering hipster look, top collar done up etc etc. None of that here, the people are laid back, you'll make friends fast and you'll love the train station. Mac...

ANYTHING but the Socialist Alternative. They're nutters.

    Enrolment day

Just make sure you have your Proposed Program Form (unit list) filled out with units you wish to undertake for the year.

    Is the law faculty weakening?

Well this is the strangest post I've ever seen. For memory, the School of Law has always been within the FoA. A friend did 1st yr law last year and loved it. Though like every other uni don't expect it to be easy just because 'it's Mac Uni''.

FOBE200 - Serious Games in Business

Yep, you can do a 100 lev unit. In year 3 I plan to go back and do a 200 lev unit. Map out your degree though and make sure it doesn't slow down your graduation...

    New session times?

Possibily. If all students enrol into the timetabled slots then there is a chance that more slots will open, only don't hold your breath.

Help!! Urgent request to an enrolment question?

A distance course usually means undertaking External Units for study. I assume you're actully enrolling into on-campus units so the answer is 'No'.

    Timetable so empty??

You don't have two lectures? Generally its two 55 min lectures + the tute. Most people are at Uni from 2 full, jame packed days to 3 spaced out ones to 4 days where you may only come in the morning. 4 units would mean you're there probs 3 days.

    Student "polarized" politics

Macquarie has such an active SA group. They really are a nightmare. They're the alternative to something, but it ain't sanity.

    Day&Evg?

Yes you can. In the time table application (which you'll get your hands on in enrolment day) you'll be able to select times for your lectures and tutes. Some lectures will be given during the day and some past 6 to 9. You can select which one best suits you. Which course is it btw?

    Proposed Program Form

Okay. So the schedule of majors for Pol + Intl R is here: Politics and International Relations - 2014 Course Handbook - Macquarie University. for the entire year you only need to do a measly 2 units of POL (or a Modern History unit). As there are only 3 100 level units available for 2014 I would...

    Please Help me!

Hi again. You can put your mac degree at your #1 pref knowing that you don't have the exact ATAR. If you don't get offered it during the main round you may very well get offered to do law/physc in the late round offer. I think the late offers are two weeks after the main one. If you don't want...

    Please Help me!

Hi there. As I see it you have three options 1) Put the degree at the top of your pref list and hope for a late round offer 2) Get into Mac Unit doing B.Arts in Physc and transfer into Law in year 2 3) Go to Sydney I'd go with option two. A whole ton of people who do transfers and it's not...

Someone please help me - to figure out course cost?

I'm doing Arts and it's around 9,000 for 4 years. Thats pretty damn high but I know Law and Science units usally cost bucket loads. Don't fear though, you can HECS (which every single person I've ever met has) which means than until you earn 39,000 p.a (I think) you don't need to pay any...

Change in degree structure/required units- 2014 handbook

Hiya Ray. I'm doing a BA with a Dip Ed. The Dip Ed has now been ditched into the sexier 'Bachelor of Education'. Its not just a name change though, as they've added on extra unit requirements. At the start of the year we were told of these impending changes and were given the option of sticking...
