    Module C: Caesar Discussion

Yeah, that's what I did too. And I think the general sentiment coming from the marking centre over the years suggests to me that they will appreciate coherent and well supported responses of this nature, especially considering most of the state tend to neglect the heart of the module (which...

Scanned Copy of the 2014 Business Exam (You're Welcome)

Phew, thankfully the 5k balance that I completely neglected will only strip me of one mark- they must have deliberately worked it so that students who rushed through and missed the figure could still gain marks for the second part, which would yield the answer of May whether it was included or not.

    General Thoughts: Business Studies

Yes, they can be secured against an asset (not always), although that has nothing to do with the question. A debenture doesn't 'provide security over assets' - a business offers assets as security, which is completely different. The answer is C, as the other choices are plainly wrong.

    General Thoughts: Business Studies

For 2014, total assets:10,000 total liabilities: 7,000 We know that assets=liabilities+equity so equity = 3000 Using the formula, which they gave to us, 7000/3000 = 2.3 Therefore, the debt/equity ratio has 'worsened' because the firm has taken on more risk.

    General Thoughts: Business Studies

I think the words case study disappear from the marking criteria at a C or D, I can't remember though. Have a look at last year's marking guidelines.

Hi, could someone please explain why, in question 7, the 'resistive force' is not proportional to the mass of the particle, but it is for Julie's earrings (does it have to do with the terms 'resistive force' and 'air resistance' ?. Thanks

Economics HSC predictions- I need your trial questions !

The essay questions won't be on the last two years topics, and the short answers will likely change around as well. But, it is important to remember that, while it is possible to hypothesize and pontificate about what the questions might or might not be, there is no experience quite so...

An injection of owner's equity - External source of finance??

Hi, I was confronted with a source of funds to business purpose question in my finance stimulus task on Tuesday. The question asked for a justified recommendation of one EXTERNAL source of funds to satisfy the procurement of a $2,500 printer (or some other piece of capital equipment, not...

    Cost-Leadership

One of my business studies textbooks (Ian Moore- Creative) suggests that cost-leadership is an operations strategy adopted by firms who "compete against other firms through lower prices". I'm pretty certain this is incorrect. I thought cost-leadership referred to aiming for the lowest cost...

Ostensibly THE BIGGEST SCAM IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND

Obviously, although I was merely commenting on the video and the corresponding fear drive which it is trying to instill among viewers, very much congruent with the sentimental factors influencing gold/silver prices - if it's a crisis, buy gold!
