    Additional Atar points?

I want to do Medicine and I know you don't get any extra ATAR points for that, but I want to also do Forensic Science, majoring in Forensic Chemistry at Griffith University

    Additional Atar points?

I was wondering if anybody knew about extra atar points? I am a rural student. Any examples of how many points you get extra as a rural student? And do you get bonus points for coming first in a subject, despite what subject it is? Thanks in advance!!

    Complex Number Assignment

    1/Z = ((1+i)^2 + 2)/(1-i) = (1+2i-1+2)/(1-i) = (2i+2)/(1-i) = (1+2i)/(1-i) X (1+i)/(1+i) = (2+2i+2i-2)/(1+1) = 4i/2 = 2i therefore, Z = 1/2i Sorry for it being hard to understand, they don't have equation editors on here :)

    Complex Number Assignment

    Does this mean I can do the same for 2z/ (2+i) + 3-2i = (1-i)Z??

    Complex Number Assignment

    I got that Z = 1/2i I hope that's right :) Thank you so much, I was going towards substituting in Z = x + iy and everything, was getting messy :/

    Complex Number Assignment

Does anyone know how to solve this, I'm having great difficulty: Solve for Z: 1/Z = 1 + i + 2/(1-i) Any help would be appreciated, thanks :)

    Need help with question!

Oh ok so then we get 2^n (sin n pi/3) = 0 right? then solve that somehow?

    Need help with question!

    Oh so I could have continued with z^n = 2^n (cos n pi/3)?? and thanks :)

    Need help with question!

Oh that makes sense! Thanks bob, I didn't pick up that z^n = k pi and thats what stumped me. Thanks you both! :D

    Need help with question!

Well I thought the imaginary part had to equal 0 so sin pi/3 would have to equal 0? So it would just drop out of the equation??

    Need help with question!

Thanks for the help guys :) I got all the way to z^n = 2^n (cos n pi/3) then I have trouble going further?

    Need help with question!

I'm working through the Cambridge 4 Unit maths book and it doesn't have worked solutions :( one question is: Z = 1 + i sqrt3. Find the smallest positive integer 'n' for which z^n is real and evaluate z^n for this value of n. Show that there is no integral value of n for which z^n is imaginary...
