3 degrees at the same time??!!

I've done a Bachelor of Health Science/Master of Occupational Therapy as well as a Cert 3 and 4 in Fitness, and can tell you now that it isn't worth it. Long story short, I was offered a job at the gym I was a member at because of my uni course, but told that I needed the Cert 3/4 to be paid at...

    Food Technology Help Thread

Hey Cutiepie! I'm sorry for the delayed response - I was out at a camp with minimal internet access! :( As for your assignment - do you know which food item you are doing it on yet? If you must do a vegetable, I would recommend peas. Otherwise, pears are also a pretty diverse option. You...

Thanks for contacting them. I was just about to do so myself but thought that I'd check in here first to see if anyone had received any news within the last few hours. The nervous wait continues...

    Any 2014'ers here? :D

Listen in class:If you have even just a basic knowledge of what your teacher is talking about, it makes it a lot easier to go home and study later. I was so exhausted during year 12 because of the workload + early bus, so sometimes I would drift off and not really take much in. Work out how you...

    Food Technology Help Thread

Post any questions or queries about Food Technology here for assistance from your peers and myself. I achieved a 97 in the 2013 Food Technology HSC exam, and don't mind refreshing my memory to help my fellow FTers!

Best mobile phone plan and pre-paid plan

I used to be on Optus as well, but I just did a complete switch. My mother, however, changed from Virgin but kept her phone number - so yes, you can. It's an Optus sim, but I'm not sure if you need to have a new one sent out to you, but you can save contacts to your phone memory anyway.

Best mobile phone plan and pre-paid plan

I have Vaya (under Optus), and I pay $11 a month and get $500 talk and text, $500 talk and text to other Vaya users, and 1.5GB of data. Although it's under Vaya, the sim and coverage is Optus.

Why do girls dump nice guys and go for the jerks?

Pretty sure that my boyfriend is the nicest guy ever and I'd definitely never dump him for some asshole. I do know some girls that do go for tools, but only because they share common interests and values (i.e. being a tool). Clearly if she isn't into you, then you don't have much in common (i.e...

    them Sydney Trains moments

Re: them cityrail moments I wish someone did that for me! I've also had a creep reach over my shoulder and rest it there until I looked at him like wtf which he must have taken as a "go ahead" and reach for my boob. I grabbed and twisted his pinkie and elbowed him in the groin - and I was...

    Any 2014'ers here? :D

Hey Food Tech-ers, there aren't much of us out there and on this site, so I'm just letting you know that you can message me if you need any help or guidance. I finished with a 97 in the HSC (and that was a very weird paper), and overall just loved the subject - with nutrition being my definite...

    them Sydney Trains moments

Re: them cityrail moments I was on a school excursion in year 10, and the train was packed (peak hour going to the city) so the majority of us were standing and crammed all together. I was separated from the group by a pram a little while later, so I was already on edge about missing the stop...

    Tips for year 10??

By "for year 11 and 12" I meant uni scholarships handed out whilst you're still in year 11 or 12.

    Tips for year 10??

Work hard and form good habits, and make sure you're paying attention to what you enjoy so that you're not choosing subjects on a whim for your HSC. Also, if your school nominates students for scholarships for year 11 and 12, this is the time they really start looking. You don't have to be the...

    Vice-Chancellor's Leadership Scholarship / ASPIRE

I'm thinking that perhaps they forgot that Monday was a public holiday, and they've been tied up and unable to properly discuss it throughout the remainder of the week due to prior engagements. That, or they are sneakily trying to stress test us to see who cracks under the pressure first, and...

    difficult parents

I know it doesn't seem like it when people say it, but I know how you feel - and how frustrating it is for you. My parents had my computer locked with a program called Net Nanny, all because he found out (through snooping) that I had downloaded and installed MSN and created a hotmail account...

    PDHPE or ECONOMICS

I did PDHPE and still received a 90+ ATAR, and scored really well in it because it was something that I genuinely enjoyed. This year it scaled really well because it was an ass of an exam. Having said that, you shouldn't be basing your choices on what scaled well, because a) scaling changes...

    Need some advice..

I still achieved an 'excellent' ATAR without tudors. What I did learn from that was to make myself work and understand, which a lot of the heavily tutored kids at my school could never do - resulting in a lot of them freezing in their English exams (questions were completely different to what...
