Im actually planning to do uni by distance at UNE also. I am more confident about the whole "distance education" concept as 2 of my HSC subjects were done solely that way. However, my uncle did a course through UNE (by distance) and he said it was the best set up he had seen and the online...
Environmental Scientist or Geologist, etc > heaps of jobs available in the mining and gas industry. Work there for a few years and make your way and you could be earning 200k - 300k and higher.
Or alternatively if you prefer the more technical things, then you could go into environmental...
I have an excel study book which I am finding perfect for exam revision, etc. It doesn't really use the syllabus but more so concentrates on all the aspects of the exam. Also has these really good study cards.

My parent's used to be real hard on me (must get A straights in everything back in the old days) but since moving interstate and entering the HSC they really laid off. I must say without that pressure though I've become a bit lazy

When an element is bombarded by a neutron, it will decay to a proton releasing beta radiation. As it has a new proton it therefore forms a new element that is next up on the periodic table (Or at least that's what i thought..)

iirf you had to link how the environmental impact then effected society, for example if you did Frasch process, So2 would form acid rain which would then damage buildings incurring financial loss, etc. I found it pretty good as well
