What does it take to get an atar of 70?

I had a friend who got just over last year. She got 3 Band 4's, 2 Band 5's and a Band 3. That's your indication.

Katich will never wear the baggy green while Clarke is captain

BRING BACK KATICH I SAY! Drop Ponting, drop Hughes, drop Clarke. All inconsistent. Michael Hussey or Shane Watson for captain.

anyone chew gum during an exam

My supervisor is awesome. I had a Maccas coke that I drank in my exam today and, on top of that, she gave me a Mintie, a Milk Coffee biscuit and we shared her orange Tic Tacs. She was really nice. :)

    General Thoughts: Economics

This. I struggled so hard with the multiple choice. The short answers were fair, and the essays, while nothing shocking, were a little vague. In my opinion.

What did everyone put as there preferences ?

Whoo! I'm not sure what I'm doing yet, but it's either going to be a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) + Dip. Ed at Macquarie Uni, or, if I decide, a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) with a Bachelor of Laws at UWS. That last course I listed is a lot of work though so it'll probably be the former...

    General Thoughts: General Mathematics

Was there any need to draw a tree diagram today or convert currency? I can't remember but they seemed non-existent in this test, as well as having to differentiate from population standard deviation and sample standard deviation.

    General Thoughts: General Mathematics

    Positively skewed is correct.

quiet place in western syd region to study 24/7?

Good luck finding one. But I'm pretty sure the UWS library is 24/7 (or near it anyway). I live in Western Sydney and I either go to a local library during the day or simply stay at home to study.

Difficulty on getting a Band 3 or 4...

General Maths is quite an unusual subject, in that, if you get 30%, you'd still get a Band 2. But as far as I'm aware, a Band 2 in General Maths is... still not really ideal. Nor is a Band 2 in any subject. To get a Band 1 though, you'd literally need to not attempt your paper, or get under 15%...

How important is it to have quotes?

Yep, just as I thought. Thanks. So basically, it's just knowing what you're arguing. I can deal with that.

How important is it to have quotes?

Hey guys, quick question in regards to the HSC Ancient History exam. How important is it to memorise specific quotes as opposed to the general idea of what each historian had to say? I feel as though the exam itself should be fine, but is it crucial to know word-for-word the quote which...

What raw marks for band 6 in general maths?

Too bad you couldn't have taken the test at my school. I got 72% for CSSA General Maths and came first in my cohort. Mind you, I was also sick that day so I probably would have gotten significantly higher had I not been. But with 75%, you would've come first easily on the day, as opposed to 8th...
