    traineeship vs full-time uni

For a Traineeship, $8.50 is pretty common. I know someone who was on around $7 when he first started. I think it depends whether the industry and career you want to get into requires a university qualification. I think the traineeship path is much more beneficial in a lot of cases, as you're 1)...

Tony Abbott - Do you want him as PM?

In a lecture the other day, some douchebag behind me said "That's why I love Tony Abbot so much, his maternity leave scheme would cut abortion rates by 90%". It saddens me that people like this are voting.

Ladies: Is there such thing as a good-looking ginger male? Examples?

I would agree with Josh Homme. Potentially Seth Green, but that might only be because he's a funny guy? I'm trying to think what my opinion would be if I saw his picture and knew nothing about him... And teh Dexter guy. Is he certified ginge, though?

    Clinkers?

So they are all different flavours? I thought I was imagining it.

ITT things that make you face palm at the gym.

When people scrutinise everything I'm doing.

Tony Abbott - Do you want him as PM?

Until about a week ago, I subscribed to the theory that T-dizzle was put up as a "dummy leader" - the libs thought they'd lose, so they sacrificed this idiot, and whoever became leader of the party afterward would look awesome by comparison. But now it seems like people might seriously be...

    subway cookies :)

Awesome. I get to the end of ordering, going "Yay me! Teriyaki chicken, no cheese, lotsa veggies, so healthy.", then I can't resist buying one of those damn cookies.

    Easyway

This might be obvious to some, but... is there actually tea in all the drinks they sell? Their menu boards are a bit ambiguous.

    Semester 1 Chatter Thread (2010)

I'm pretty sure in my subjects "late assessment will not be marked".

    Question for the ladies

Here's the problem. When someone's all "we have to waaaaait", it seems more likely that they'll rush to get married. Isn't better to have sex with someone and then realize that you don't really want to be with them down the track than to, you know, sign a legally binding contract before coming...

    Rules for Customers

    - Your item is worth $6. You pay with a $50 note. Don't get pissed when your change is in $5 notes or smaller: every other asshole did the same thing as you, so I have nothing bigger left.

    How bad is your eyesight?

Like someone else said, almost blind in one eye. Went through the childhood trauma of wearing a patch and glasses for 6 years in a failed attempt to fix it. Thanks, medical profession.

    Question for the ladies

I can't imagine marrying someone without having had sex with them first O.o

Should we move towards banning smoking

Isn't smoking in public places banned in the UK? I think I was over there when it came in, people seemed to be cranky about it. I think it'd be good to do something similar here. Much like you can't be naked in public: it might not actually be hurting anyone, but it's pretty inconsiderate.

    Rules for Customers

    1. The doors are closing. The lights are off. We've done an "attention customers..." over the PA. GET THE FUCK OUT. 2. Not everything on a trolley is marked-down stock. I'm just moving it from one end of the store to the other - don't attack it like saving $3 is the most important thing in the...

    Conspiracy against small feet?

When I ask shop assistants if they have a size 11, they just stare at me blankly... Except in stores with sports/running shoes, which oddly seem to have a huge range of sizes.
