    UNSW Subject Reviews.

Accounting is okay. But I didn't like it very much. Worked all sem and got 74. Not my forte really. On the other hand, I did like two weeks worth of study for MATH2069 and got 97. The complex half was basically first year stuff and 4U complex numbers. ELEC2141 wasn't too bad either. One...

    MX2 Past Papers & Answers

Re: Ext 2 Past Papers + Answers You revise the method effectively so that you know that your method is actually correct. Of course arithmetic errors are not always unavoidable. And plus, when you go to university you don't necessarily get solutions for all past papers. I think some of my...

Tommykins please read this, i need help

Instead of finding ways of possibly dodging the system, why wouldn't you just work hard and try and get Band 5+ ?

    MX2 Past Papers & Answers

Re: Ext 2 Past Papers + Answers I'll have a look around. Besides why are you so obsessive with getting solutions? You should try the questions first without having access to the solutions.

    MX2 Past Papers & Answers

Re: Ext 2 Past Papers + Answers I think I downloaded 1998-2009 SBH Ext 2 Trials from here last year. They should be somewhere.

    MX2 Past Papers & Answers

You do realise that HSC Physics, for instance, is 30% Physics and 70% history, don't you? Furthermore the Physics in HSC Physics isn't that difficult. Similarly for Chem and Bio.

What do you think of your school executive staff?

principal Didn't I read somewhere that you're topping the highest level of English at Ruse? =\

    Preliminary mathematics marathon

Re: another question Precisely my point. It's not in the HSC course because left hand and right hand limits are not in the current 1981 syllabus.

    Preliminary mathematics marathon

For simple stuff yes it is in the course (eg. showing discontinuities in graphs). But I don't think the question posted above would be examinable.

    Preliminary mathematics marathon

Re: another question Well then do you have a teacher who has no previous experience in teaching? I could be wrong but it seems like it. There are two problems with asking this in the HSC course: 1) You don't properly define functions in the HSC. ie. "g(x) is to be continuous" is wrong because...

    Preliminary mathematics marathon

Re: another question This is not in the scope of the current HSC syllabus. I believe it was taken out in 1981 from the old course. And yes the answer is (a, b) = (4, 26). Although simple, to do it properly, it requires the use of limits.

    Series is: 50000+53000+56000+... A. P. a=50000, d =3000, Tn=? If Tn = 100000 then 100000 = 50000 + (n-1)3000 3000(n-1)= 50000 n-1=16.66666... n= 17.6666 ie. His salary will be twice the original salary after 17.666... years.... ie. in the 18th year. New question: (wasn't answered before)...

I think that is the correct expression for dy/dx. Now what happens if you sub x=pi/4?
