if you like your prelim subjects enough (and are good at them) then don't drop them. if you don't like one or two (and are not getting the results you want) then drop them (1-2 units or so) but make sure you know what your doing. in summary, those who choose the right 12 units generally won't...

HSC bio is actually interesting and challenging.

its the same as why people are addicted to smoking/drinking ect. it makes them feel different to compensate for something they are missing in their lives. very possible that its depression.

absolutely not! legal is a solid scaler and appears on many high ATAR achivers. ignore the myths saying otherwise. most humanities scale very well, with the exception of Aboriginal Studies. i am enjoying legal, and am acing it too. XD
