Are you on Facebook?

Am I able to complain about the questionaire? Many of the questions were very similar, therefore producing the same answers. I felt like I was getting asked the same question about five times, just worded differently. I don't see why it had to be that long.

same here. To the OP, your parents sound pretty strict. I thik they should give you more rope considering you're 17. --- The stupidest thing I've been punished for was simply trying out for the school grade badminton team. The sports organisor put me and a few others on sport detenion. WTF?
yes

no, marks-wise year 11 doesn't count. But remember that employers may look at your reports for year 11. Unless you are terrible at English, I'd say try advanced in year 11 and if you are bad at it then go to standard

Pros & Cons of Modern History

There is no absolute 'best subject' when it comes to modern or ancient. It's just what a person prefers.

Pros & Cons of Modern History

Of course modern is better than ancient! ;) :DI don't do ancient, never been a big fan. I love modern though. I'm thinking of teaching it at secondary school. The pros are (at least for me) it's really interesting and we can learn a lot from it. I know modern scales well. The cons - well there...

    The Secret River

I've got to choose one more supplementary text for Belonging and I was recommended The Secret River by Kate Grenville. Is this a good choice? And what are the main ideas/concepts of belonging in it? I'm asking cause I don't want to read it and find out it doesn't suit my ohter texts. I don't...

    Belonging - Harry Potter

Harry Potter seems too commerical to use in English. A lot of English teachers recomend against using such texts. And if you're straining to make connections, that's not a good sign.

    profile info???

Just came back to this site after a few month break. But the only profile tab that I seem to have (and I think this is a site-wide problem) is visitor messages. I don't have the about, statistics or contact tabs etc. Where did they go?

NFSW signatures - inappropriate or offensive?

I agree, especially considering the nature of this site can make it popular to view at school. I agree with free speech, but siggies with orgasmic girls in bikinnis and "fuck those nigga cunts" or whatever can get offensive and shows a lack of intelligence or willingess to express ones self...

well if you're not very good at english then don't do advanced or your ATAR will get pulled down. better to do excellent in standard than crap in advanced. Some standard classses aren't too bad I suspect. Other would be terrible. But heaps of smart people do standard, as they may be crap at...

the net censorship is no less an issue than any of those you mentioned, as it concerns all Australians - even those that don't use the internet. I believe it is a sign of the government slowly reducing our freedom of speech and access to information. If you read over the thread, you willl find...
