    transferring programs

i had a similar problem this last week. i was enrolled in socsci (crim)/law but i felt my other degree wasn't really going anywhere, as well as the fact that that particular program meant i had to do 2nd year law subjects and i wasn't coping with being the only 1st year in 2 of my subjects, so i...

Is it necessary to actually read Frankenstein?

adding too much context will take away from your essay. context is not the be-all and end-all of this module, you have to relate the message of the text to the changes in context. and in order to have a good understanding of what the author is trying to say, i strongly recommend that you read...

    *uac main offers thread

from asking a lot of questions at unsw, i've gathered that if you have eas eligibility there, it means you get at least something and they don't give half points, so that means you do have at least 1 bonus point (: what happened to the old thread about uac offers, the one that chromatic made...

teehee, i remember finishing an entire draft for my EE2 major work during the summer hols. an entire draft, approximately 7000 words. i took it to my teacher on the first day and she said [not in these exact words of course] "this is shit. start again." lol >_<.

how do you study? study techniques??

i studied basically everything using the age-old study method of read something -> cover it up -> repeat what you can remember/'explain' it to something -> check. worked pretty well for me ^^ and because my subjects were all essay-based, writing lots and lots and lots and LOTS of essays.

    Do you find English Hard????

i think as soon as you learn the 'knack' for writing english essays, english becomes a billion times easier. i remember at the beginning of year 11 i was struggling just to find ONE technique in an unseen text and my teacher said, "don't worry, sometime around the middle of year 12, the ability...

    Belonging Short Story Word Limit

my advanced creative was always around 1150 words. as were all my other essays, for belonging & modules. i found that amount gave me ample time to do quite a bit of tweaking & improvising. but it really depends on how fast you write.
