What is the Difference Between Medicine in UNSW and UWS?

As stated above, once you cross the ATAR threshold (95?) in UWS, it is no longer taken into account and you will be admitted based on umat (33%) and interview (66%). UNSW takes a 33% of each weighting component, so although their ATAR cutoff is 96, you'd have to perform amazingly in the umat and...

    Mbbs ba

UNSW offers it, and as far as i know, they dont have a limit on spots, you just tell them you want to do it during your first year and you start in the second year. Usyd offers it too, given you can get 99.95 UQ offers it as well.

Do You Think I'll Have A Chance?

UNSW medicine has a cutoff of 96. Not too sure about UWS. I went to some seminar UNSW set up, like an info night. Despite the 96 cut off, realistically, a vast majority of the people that get in have a uai of 99+ and about 1-5% (from what i remember) having an atar around 96,97.

    Big Words in English

It can be good, but if you're already bad at english and hoping to improve using big words, chances are it won't work. People tend to overdo the big words and like someone said above, it just makes your essay hard to read and probably score you down. If you can use them well and eloquently...

    Is math tutor necessary?

Depends on the person tbh. The thing with maths is, you need to be consistent and do work regularly, its not very easily crammed at the last minute. If you feel that you can keep up with the work yourself and hopefully don't have some fail teacher, you'll be fine. However, it is your...

So who thinks there's problems with this syllabus?

Yeah do you do physics? If you do you;re gonna hate it, half the dot points end up asking you about the history/ social impact of what you just learnt.

Any Tips For Attaining 95+ Atar?????

This. Also don't try to cram maths, do your homework. You can cram for physics and chemistry, but dont leave it till the same week to learn the entire syllabus, make sure you have at least a general idea of everything. Otherwise, just study, make notes, make sure you understand.

How would you interptet this dot point?

I would write mostly about the historical context. Ie. During that time, Germany received their source of nitrates from Chile that was extractred form guano. When WW1 broke out, a blockade was set up to prevent this shipement reaching Germany. Since they were key to creating fertilisers and...

How would you transit 4U maths to Yr 10

Calm down dude, you're not even in year 11 yet. Its not really something you can compare to a year 10 level. There are the bare basics which you should get in a second but there are also the insane questions that you might not get for a few hours. Point is, see how you go in extension 1 maths...

    Titration - sources of error

Nah. When you perform a titration you must ensure there are 0 air bubbles yourself. The pipette is only calibrated to ensure that 25ml is delivered whilst that last drop remains, hence the reason you never blow out the last drop.

    Titration - sources of error

Indicator itself may be slightly acidic and can affect results especially if too much is used. Using a white card to sharpen the meniscus when reading it, improves reliability Using a pH meter and data logger increases accuracy To improve reliability, repeat titration until 3 concordant values...

New Excel version of the Patel book --- WORKED SOLUTIONS???

We use that one in class, second edition. It doesnt have work solutions and to my experience, a lot of the answers are wrong -_- EXCEL HSC - Maths Extension 2 Year 12 I think thats the one you're looking for. "- fully worked solutions for every problem."

This is a question from Exam Choice 08 Trial paper of which i dont have the solutions for. The question is : Which one of the following is an acid/base conjugate pair? (a) HCl/NaOH (b) H_2SO_4/SO_4%5E%7B2-%7D (c) H_3O%5E+/H_2O%5C%5C (d) NH_2%5E-/NH_3 Initially i thought c, but that would...

    Integration

A question from coroneos that's really annoying me. The question is %5Cint%20%5Cfrac%7Bdx%7D%7B3sinx+4cosx%7D The answer is %5Cfrac%7B1%7D%7B5%7Dln%28%5Cfrac%7B1+2tan%5Cfrac%7Bx%7D%7B2%7D%7D%7B2-tan%5Cfrac%7Bx%7D%7B2%7D%7D%29 But i keep getting...

    Trig functions Q :)

Because you have cosx and sin x in the equation, you cannot easily solve it by factorising. Ideally, you only want one trig function, ie, all sin or all cos or all tan. By dividng through by cos%5E%7B2%7Dx, you end up with tan%5E%7B2%7Dx-3tanx+2=0 Now you can solve easily by letting tan x = x...
