Are you sure about this? I was told doing a combined degree 1st year then transferring to law with one of them was ok & wouldn't take any longer to finish the degrees. Because in this case if you're doing com/arts and transferred to com/law.... your arts credit points will count as 'electives' &...
Wow really? Thanks the information! I would have thought there'd be a quota on student intake via transfers, and therefore a ranking system but if not then thats pretty sweet.
Sounds like this might be a better option than starting law at UTS and applying for transfer to UNSW then, seeing as...
So for the Internal Transfer Program at UNSW - are you guarenteed a place in 2nd year once you meet the criteria (WAM & ATAR) or is there another ranking process?
Um okay, who did you get it marked by? Just a school teacher? You should be careful about guaging your performance by teacher's marking of your exams, i've consistently gotten over 96% in every single biology exam i've sat and is ranked 2nd the subject (I go to top 30 school) and yet the whole...
Thank you so much Domm!
Another question, in terms of resources available, you've mentioned that the UTS library isn't exactly great so when studying law at UTS did you find yourself having to peruse law libraries of USYD or UNSW? & If so are there any fees involved in using another uni's...
Im in the same situation!!
Except i only have ATAR high enough for Macq and UTS, transfer to UNSW is an option though. I'm interested in the quality of teaching at UTS for law as well, particularly what the difference is between studying law at UTS and UNSW... i know UNSW obviously has a better...
You're not guarenteed honours if you do B Psych. Entry into Psych Honours is merit based and you'll need Distinction average if my memory serves me correctly. I attended the Open Day and the lecturer specifically put emphasis on that point! This information is also on their website.
And yeah...
Hey there. :)
I was reading the thread about Law at UWS where you commented that you know fair bit about International Studies/Law at UTS? Im in a similar situation to the OP except with a significantly lower ATAR and didn't pause to ever think law at UTS or any other uni was possible until now...
+1
Same!!
Except I didnt have a tutor in Year12, though I fed off other peoples' tutors and their resources. & Cramming ftw!
Read my English Ext 1 text during holidays before HSC, learnt half the course the night before, wrote my first ever EE1 essay in my HSC exam and got E4. Smug :)
Mum: Do you know your atar yet?
Me: Yeah
Mum: What'd you get?
Me: 98.20
Mum: Thats pretty high...
*10 minute awkward silence*
Mum: So did you get a scholarship?
Me: No
Mum: Oh.. Well is that high enough to make it into unis you wanted?
Me: Yeah
*5 minute silence*
Mum: Okay
*Walks away*
Didnt...
Don't see the benefit of people keeping their ATARs a secret, but i know a few people that would if their ATARs are below their expectations... Its almost like trying to evade from the truth and adopting the childish "if i cant see it its not there" policy.
Suppose it must mean a heck of a lot...
Theres no need to 'prove' god exists. Its all a matter of faith. & Anyway, it would be incredibly naive for people to think that man can explain everything that occurs in this world. There are things that exist which man cannot rationalise. One of these is faith. Another is love. People can tell...
Certain of English, Biology, and Maths.
Maths extension + Modern History might scrape a bordeline band6.
English Extension - possibly, but doubt it, don't think i deserve one anyway seeing the little effort i put into it.
Thanks. Yeah i understand that and have heard of similar such stories, some far more tragic too. :(
I know i should follow my dreams, and i will, but it'll just be a rocky road thats all.
/Sigh
And LOLOL:
Gotta love God all mighty.
:santa:
Not scared of my ATAR. Quite curious to know how I went actually, but i can only confidently say that now because its still far away and not really a concern of mine yet.
I'll probably be shit scared the night before though, from all the suspense and anticipation. And even after i find out my...
Thanks your music taste is also mint by the sound of it.
& Lol no worries, uni=meeting people that understands us and our ivory towers.
Well, they'd better! :jedi:
