How to write a Band 6 extended response in Economics

When it comes to graphs and statistics the recency matters, especially at a time like this when the global economy has drastically changed. In regards to the topic "Australia's Trade and Financial Flows" and "Australia's Place in the Global Economy" the Reserve Bank website www.rba.gov.au is a...

    English technique!!

Techniques differ according to text type. Are you studying a poem, image, article, play, short story or novel? Yes. Though it's probably better to state the purpose of this technique - to add meaning, emphasis or draw parallel or juxtaposition between the start and conclusion of a segment...

To what extent will this affect my ATAR?

Well, it's not a good idea to start ranting on about scaling, the ATAR calculation and moderation etc etc, but long story short, there's absolutely no need to worry especially considering that everyone in your grade got about the same mark. Your assessment mark stand alone means nothing - it's...

    Criminal Justice Issues.

Have a look at the 2005 HSC, Q17, the structured essay. It specifically deals with juvenile justice. In particular, part (c) asks us to compare and contrast gender-specific problems faced by juveniles. Which means that we're basically screwed if we don't have a good background on juvenile...

    Information on Accommodation

One more question, this time I actually took the time to read it, but still cut me some slack, I've just come out of trials now. What's the difference between 'applying' and 'registering'? I'm going to the open day on Saturday, will I need to have $200+ in my pocket or is that just the time...

    2009 National Geographic Competition

The test has like nothing to do with anything in the sylabbus. I'ts like 5 questions on skills and the rest is pretty much world geo. Heh it's pretty easy, I did it every year and did quite ok. I've met some of the guys too.

During school, after school or during uni?

Japan tops my wishlist. But I haven't learned Japanese, so I'm either gonna do Japanese in uni or just do exchange in China instead (no.2). In uni there's only the semester or year exchange, I would do either.

During school, after school or during uni?

How much planning do you need to do a gap year? Do you think that if you did a full year at uni it would have been better than the gap year? With International Studies in my sights a uni exchange is kinda obligatory

    Is it really worth it?

I'm not saying you can't, but it breaks down so many barriers when you do. A lot of people know English, but if you know their language, you can talk on the same wavelength as them, relate to them better. I've hosted Japanese people who visited our school, and they were so much more sociable...
