Since O week is next week and that it is week 1, do we still go to our timetabled lectures on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, or do we officially start our lectureson thursday when O week concludes.? I heard that tutes dont run on the first week, wat about pracs? Thanks

I got the enrolment issue of speculum. I just noticed that there is a dead bird in the front cover of that issue. Its located above the "e" in "your guide to".

So we have to buy the books that are compulsory, but what about the recommended books, are they very helpful or can you still get a good mark without them? btw, what is the course note shop at the Co-op bookshop?

Just a few questions regarding textbooks. When do the first years get told what textbooks they require, and is it usually one text book for each course, is it also compulsory to buy as well? After we have finished with the textbook, is there a place that we can sell it again?

Finished my timetable. Just wondering, Im doing 12 cp for each semester. In semester 1, i have a total of 15 hours of lectures, tutes, and pracs in total. And I managed to fit it in to 3 days. Is this normal?

Yea, 4 subjects in the first semester. and Im thinking about doing 3 200 level subjects in the second semester. The prerequisites are the subjects that Im doing in the first semester. Is this allowed?

With the timetables, how many tutes and lectures do we choose. Also, there is Lecture 1, lecture 2, lecture 3 with Class 1, class 2, class 3 etc. Do we just choose a class from all 3 lectures? and do we do the same process with tutorials? Btw, do we study one subject at a time or a few at the...

Im doing accounting. I'll probably enroll in with a study pattern, ie Professional Accounting. and Majoring in Accounting. Everything is set out, so it will be much easier.

I got a few questions about Study patern and Coherent Study. A bit confused atm abnout what to do this year for my first year at uni. I was just wondering, does more people do Study pattern or coherent study? What are the advantages and disadvatages or these two types?

Same, its so confusing. I got no idea. The example shown by glitterfairy, (example 1-few choices and example 2-lots of choices) throws me off. Some area of study contains both, and I don't know which is the correct one.
