no they dont take marks OFF, but it prevents them from giving you the mark. else why doesnt everyone just put every single possibility down for a question and recieve the mark regardless? the final point is that there is no "eruption of 72AD" and they cannot award a mark. maybe a 1/2 if half...

you'd still get the highest ASSESSMENT mark of your school which counts for 50% but your EXAM mark (the other 50%) will come from how well you did in the HSC.

you will not get the mark because part of the answer is incorrect. it automatically cancels out the correct part of your answer. its what we were told anyway.

So its a disadvantage to only sit for the 2U paper as you are competing against people of a higher standard instead of just other 2U people? Then why don't people go on to do the 3U test?

Hi guys, i was just wondering if you do a three unit course such as maths ext. 1, when you sit the advanced paper, are you competing with the 2U people as well as the 3U people? Or do you only compete with other 3U people? Or if you do 2U maths do you still have to compete with the 3U people...
