the amount of maths you need is dependent on which subjects you end up taking, subjects like Emerging Markets, and Multinational Corporate Finance really dont need much maths at all, whereas if you get heavily into more applied finance you will find that the maths takes up a much larger portion...

i think you need to define units..... 1 course at unsw = 6 units.... so i'm sure there are people that can beat your 5.......

Dont give up, i've found its much easier to get higher grades in the later years of uni than the earlier years, lots of people i know started with pass averages for first year, now on D averages. Myself included =#... i think i did much less work in my later years than in the first years...

having said that, the majority of CAs and CPAs are not actually CFOs or CEOs anyway, the average CEO probably would have done his degree 20 years+ ago, when finance was not as highly regarded as the core business skill of accounting. The world has changed since then, increased gloablisation...

i do it too, and i love it, but quite frankly it is useless
