What do you want to do with your life? Eng/med science is a maybe if you do biomedical engineering or something, I'm not really familiar with the area, but otherwise seems like a waste of time. Eng/science is good if you just want to explore some pure science before you hit the engineering...

I missed the second survey lecture this morning and have now spent an hour walking around uni looking for a hint. I thought in the first one they said "the big tree on the engineering green" but nothing there.... And the course elearning site is still not up, no emails, and the lecturers don't...

You have to join SUSF for $55 a year - this allows you to join the sport clubs (super-important example: sailing) and go to the gym casually. The website is really unclear about the casual prices unfortunately, and I don't know them.

I was hoping for distinctions. I got a surprise HD in vector calc last semester, so even though I knew I didn't just 'get' this semester's courses in the same way, I sortof felt more confident about my ability.... Oh well.

I started when I was 16 as well, so there's no way you can complain about a month! I guess if you want to go out to a lot of bars and stuff it could be annoying, but in that case you probably have fake ID already (I did, mostly). And at my uni - Sydney - the actual uni bars rarely, if ever...

Congrats, well, I'd hope they couldn't tell you you had a medal unless you did! Would probably fall under "cruel and unusual" ......

I know this is rather early and we only just finished exams last week, but I really want to know! :o Do people know when they will come out or when they came out last year? The website says 'mid-December' so if we go all pessimistic and assume they will be later, we get results for Christmas...

You have to take 24cp usually. For an advanced degree, you have to take 48cp of Senior units, but only 24cp have to be in your major. Those 24 have to be at advanced level though.

Last semester I had 14 hours a week in Carslaw. 8 of those in 375 from 8-10 in the morning. <3 that maths.....
