This is a significant dot point but i dont see how u can write alot about it. They helped break the nobles' power, aided tyranny, developed warfare, etc. but its not really a lot to right about. Any help?
lol. Thanks. I realise the controversy surrounding Lycurgus. I was just looking at a timeline and it was all mixed up. But i got over it, cos in History u can say anything and just add "it is supposed..." or "according to modern historians...". lol ;)
Hey can someone help me out as well? I can see that this song is potent with stuff to be used but i cant see how it can be analysed sucessfully.

Linkage maps are used to isolate genes that cause inherited diseases. They can only exist due to studying families with a genetic disease. Therefore, only these families are studied.
Hence, only hereditary diseases are on linkage maps. The HGP is made up of thousads of genes that dont express...
I am also doing Eyre. I was wondering what the significance of the rooms being completely red is. It must mean something but i dont quite get it. I figure it all goes white/grey/black later on cos there is a lack of warmth/kindness to the place, but why is it all red?
One thing that came out of my trial was that its important to talk about the interpretations and the productions. HOWEVER, you must demonstrate a depth of understanding conerning the text! Dont neglect the themes, characters, etc!
Who exactly were the Alkmenoids and the Philiads?
i was reading a text book which spoke about Spartan polis development. It said in 800 BC the Gerousia was formed due to Lycurgus and then in 650 BC austerity was introduced due to Lycurgus. Cnofused that he was around for 200 years, I looked at...
Does anyone have any good notes for productions? I saw a production at Bondi which was really bad and I saw another one on TV but it was a basic look at the play (meaning there was no spin or interpretation on the text that was apparent). Any help would be appreciated.
Productions and readings are the same in that they show differing views on the play. Readings/interpretations = feminism, nihilistic, etc. Productions = actual performanes of Lear which put their own spin on the play.
Interpretations are important to the King Lear course. They are necessary to show how the values of the play can be variously interpreted. Same with the productions.
They can't "take offence" to anything like that. If teacher's let personal bias in their marking it ruins the point of the HSC. Plus, a feminist interpretation is a completely acceptable interpretation. It looks at feminism as positive and negative. They cant bias against it.
