    State Rank vs Allrounder

Mate for ATAR, the system includes everyone who entered your grade in year 7. So if a lot of people drop out by year 12 then you basically get free ranks. That's why they have the whole mystery mark in place because it varies year to year in there. And not everyone does go to uni...

    ATAR estimate please!

depends on jap and snr sci. but generally 90-95 seems right.

Yeah might start doing that for phys1231 and math1241. Just need HW sets for phys and tute books for math.

    question o.o

Tbh, the drop off in marks from ranks should not affect you too much. I came second for Phys. Now top three got B6. 4th got a very low 70 (I think 72). My assessment mark and third's assessment mark only dropped our final HSC mark by 1. Reason why this happened is because our difference in...

How did I get in when my ATAR was so low

Nah some people have like 200 bonus points so they end up with ATAR 300 :haha: (we just derailed again :haha: We are such a dangerous combo to threads)

How did I get in when my ATAR was so low

Yeah true. Still have no idea. Maybe UNSW rounds up to the nearest 100 :haha:

How did I get in when my ATAR was so low

I have no idea how. FEAS was advertised and explained as 81.00+ Plus its not guaranteed actually. Its only there if not enough people pick it. So that means that a little number of people picked civil this time round. Strange but interesting. Civil was always increasing in cut-off because too...

How did I get in when my ATAR was so low

Yep. People can get into law at UNSW with 95+ You can also get into engo at UNSW with 81+. Only med isn't inflated. UMAT is the real deal. EDIT: Note that I'm just referring to bonus points though. The actual cut-off is the actual cut-off for Law including any bonus points. However for...

Why is it current that kills? Why is AC more dangerous than DC - damage to the body?

Re: Why is it current that kills? Why is AC more dangerous than DC - damage to the bo AC is only said to be more "dangerous" as I explained above because it interferes with the heart pulses (hence de-fibrillation). However, it still does the same physical damage to the body (burns and whatnot)...

Why is it current that kills? Why is AC more dangerous than DC - damage to the body?

Re: Why is it current that kills? Why is AC more dangerous than DC - damage to the bo Yes they are both dangerous and you need properties of the material and source. Lets just say complex numbers may get involved in these calculations as the body may have capacitances or inductance in frequency...

Why is it current that kills? Why is AC more dangerous than DC - damage to the body?

Re: Why is it current that kills? Why is AC more dangerous than DC - damage to the bo What squareroot said sums it up. AC and DC are proportionally the same. Both high voltages and high current are dangerous. Either way the voltage drop across your body will be a function of the supply and...

Trials around the corner, but my notes aren't up to date!

I did not read my notes once for trials. Maybe skimmed them after trials for HSC prep but not much otherwise. So notes don't mean too much if you understand stuff.

Oh no I didn't mean that detailed. I meant the map on your original post as it shows the direct route to walk. I've never even been USyd, but your route shown is quite clear and doesn't look to difficult to follow.

Well I will make the suggestion, as I have done so already, to take a photo of the route from redfern to the spot on carrot's original post. Also, make sure you note down the actual room and place so when you get there you aren't lost.
