My tutor tells me to write the complete whole sentence out although it can be quite time consuming. In my school, teachers get really strict in their marking and I know they encourage us not to write any forms of abbreviations. I don't know about the HSC though - I heard you don't get...

Yeah,maybe similar to the AMC instead. There is now hope for me in this paper ^^. Will still probably fall short in the exam though I won't be able to know til I try t.

That's quite a relief. I'd be looking forward to doing that paper when I have a better grasp at 3U maths first.

It almost sounds as if the MX1 paper today was similar to the ones seen in Olympiad competitions. @carrot - please continue this inititative for next year and I'll see how I go in your paper in perhaps 2013-2014. Your paper will bow down to me. (inb4 Olympiad style Qs - i'll fail)

Criticism is always welcomed. What parts exactly if you don't mind me asking? I should probably have proofread or refined it a bit to make it a better read although I appreciate it.

I gather inspiration from looking out a window. Think about the experiences you've had in your life and perhaps write about those if you're stuck. Remember, never begin writing your story unless you already have your ending planned (it helps a lot to get into this habit).

Really wish I could come to the meat and see Carrot's 'golden' paper (seems almost AMC like). @Carrot- Will you be able to post the exam papers when you're through with the marking? I'm just interested to see the sort of questions you're throwing.

If you're excellent at time management, continue your sports (this is actually important in my opinion).

2014 is the last year to do belonging I believe.
