    subject selection

as joe said you don't have to follow the course structure - just be careful of meeting pre-req's. i say this only because i have sort of minorly stuffed myself up because of subject availability.

    Night Classes

i'm in part time doing a full time load - 3 subjects, not four. - but i haven't had any problems (at least i think i am enrolled in the part time course). i agree, the line is very thin. its interesting though because from memory in those evaluations that we have to fill out towards the...

    Superannuation

you can nominate a super fund to have your super paid into - if you do this the employer has a legal right to do so. if you don't choose then by default you are placed into the super fund that the company has chosen. if you are not asked by your employer what super fund you what to belong to...

    UTS Cadets

    1. They will give you a piece of paper that says the normal courses that are taken first and second semester for both part and full time students. First semester last year i did MPO and Eco. I would suggest picking 2 subjects out of MPO, Eco, Accy1 and Marketing [which is the usual first...

    Ernst & Young

Its not that the timetable won't let you do it in a 6 hour block, it is more that the availability of lectures and tutes are not always conducive to allowing for study in this pattern. In fact last semester I chose my subjects based around the timetable I wanted so that I could get it that way...

UTS Semester 1 2007 Timetables and Subjects!

assessment for blethics; 35% MC - 35 questions, 1 hour in a tute 15% Role Play - advertised as group work but isn't really, easy as pie 50% Final - open book final, 2 hrs, i think it had 50 MC and 3 short answers - pretty easy but harder because of the time constraint.

people have different perspectives on whether you should put all your uni on one day or spread it out. You will hear responses from some people saying 2 - 8 thats way too long, you won't be able to concentrate or whatever. I am of the opinion that getting it all in on one day is the way to do it...

UTS Semester 1 2007 Timetables and Subjects!

I did three subjects last semester, of which blethics was one of them (the others were accy 1 and stats). I must admit I found blethics a complete walk in the park. Prior to the final I was sitting on like 96, however due to not studying at all for the final (which is pretty difficult due to...

So i choose UTS over USYD or UNSW.

i did this last year - switched at the very last minute to b. bus at uts over b. comm at unsw/usyd. best decision of my life. definately do not regret it at all. uts is goood. flexiable as. and easy too.

    cadetships? too late??

working in an accounting firm i can guarantee you that it is not too late, peoople are always looking to hire someone, especially if other ug's have dropped out. best bet is to ring up individual firms and ask to speak to HR - they will let you know if they are looking or potentially when to apply.

accounting cadetships - good or bad?

how much maths you will need depends on: a) where you do your degree - I'm at UTS and I from what I can understand we aren't that into the crazy maths aspect in first year. Don't get me wrong you do stats and finance which are no walk in the park, but I don't think they compare to some of the...
