New laws to combat alcohol fuelled violence - Will they be effective or not?

That's a textbook example of the parable of the broken window gG3AKoL0vEs

New laws to combat alcohol fuelled violence - Will they be effective or not?

Will the victims family be paying the hundreds of thousands of dollars per prisoner for the extended prison term that exists, by your admission, only to satisfy their desire for vengeance? What about victims families who are satisfied with current prison terms (yes they do exist), are you...

New laws to combat alcohol fuelled violence - Will they be effective or not?

The mandatory sentences are a fucking joke; - won't work as a deterrant, "I'm gonna smash this cunt.. Oh wait what was that I heard about mandatory sentencing, I'd better give this drunken king hit some more thought" - Longer prison terms = less chance of rehabilitation, not more, 100% proven...

    Christopher Pyne

Spends weeks per year living and working in indigenous communities Pledges to visit Jakarta first thing if elected PM Starts a 'green army' Tony Abbott = literally David Marr

    Christopher Pyne

Are Indigenous culture, sustainability, and Asia really 'leftist leanings'? They aren't relevant to the physical sciences mostly, but you said humanities, and they seem like topics relevant to an Australian humanities education. Unless you're talking about some other 'leftist leanings', I...

    Christopher Pyne

There's the old story that Christopher Pyne allegedly confessed to a liberal member while down the pub one night that he only joined the Liberal party (rather than the Labor party) because he lived in a Liberal electorate.

Based on this thread, I think you should stick to a yaris.

AWD vs. 4WD vs. FWD vs. RWD

The s2000 isn't MR, it's FR, it would probably be scary (moreso) if it was MR

AWD vs. 4WD vs. FWD vs. RWD

The MR2, the only cheap modernish mr drivetrain, by all accounts handles fairly ordinarily. They spin at the limit where other cars slide, not really desireable in a street car. In racing, the turbo sw20 mr2 is barely competitive with lightly modified mx5s.

Indian student almost murdered by African gang in unprovoked attack

I guess I was thinking of Lampedusa vs Australia's skilled migration intake when I wrote that offensive racist comment. African engineers and doctors should also take over.

Indian student almost murdered by African gang in unprovoked attack

tbh I am somewhat reassured that there will never be large numbers of people of African origin settled in Australia, Asians taking over is okay.

    Keiran Loveridge

Yeah that's factored into anglo sentencing too though, where it's relevant.

    Keiran Loveridge

What are you talking about you racist dog, indigenous incarceration rates are massively higher than non-indigenous rates.

Alcohol fuelled violence on Sydney streets

I think there is more actual violence, not just more media reporting (which there is also more of). Crime in almost all categories is at record lows per capita, but the exception is violent assault, particularly alcohol related, which has substantially increased over a prolonged period.

Alcohol fuelled violence on Sydney streets

With another bloke hospitalised in a loveridge/kelly style king hit attack in Kings Cross over new years, renewed calls have been made to address alcohol fuelled violence. The police association has called for the 'Newcastle Solution' to be implemented. This strategy includes: - earlier...

Nelson Mandela has died, aged 95

Population growth decreases as health care and wealth improves, paradoxically. Or not so paradoxically, considering birth control is a big part of an effective health care system. If effective birth control was widespread in Africa, both the spread of HIV and overpopulation would be reduced...

ACT Same-Sex Marriage Act in the High Court

Re: ACT Same-Sex Marriage Bill in the High Court Um, that page says the opposite of what you're saying "The Appeal Panel decided that the Tribunal’s definition of religion was too narrow and that Wesleyanism did indeed fall within the meaning of ‘religion’. " Very few people would...
