just to add to this dilemma. my friend who also finished in 2003 said he thinks he got 116 ... which is ALOT more than what keypad thinks he got. my friend got 98 for his HSC mark for 4u that and second in state in phyiscs gave him a uai of 100

but does direction matter? gradient is done by the angle the line makes with the horisontal... can either be obtuse or accute... in this case its obtuse. so the angle is 180 - @ which give u the obtuse angle the line makes to the horisontal.

also for Q6 ii - it should be tan ( 180 - @) not 360 - @... it gives the right answer but the way gone about it is wrong

no because the 3unit syllabus only deals with real numbers. So to them complex numbers are non existant and they wouldnt confuse students because of that. if this was a 4unit exam then it would defenatly say REAL.

what? i think its the opposite really.. there was no textbook question in that exam, even that repeat from 1996 was an extremly rare question that could be asked. usually all the other yrs first 3 questions have things which are similar. eg find lim x--> 0 sinx/x ... *yawn* i think all...

dont think so mate.. my friend got 98 and he wasnt even in the top 10 (exam/ass mark both 98). It wasn't just Keypad that got 99. this like drawing method is crap.

i like real maths... i hate this statistic crap... just punch in 1000 numbers in your calculator so you're sure that u have made a mistake. thats why theres computer programs..

i dont think so, they have made it easier (by ALOT) as time has past by... there is some sort of pattern where every second year seems to be hard. Eg, 2001, 2003, 2005. so you will get the easy exam.. 2002 was the easiest 4unit exam ever set basicly. 2004 wasn't far off 2002 in level...

well last yr Acmilian got 75/84 which gave him a 48/50. Now this includes the girly binomial and the decent SHM. there's like limited correlation but you are setting the standards too high..
