ok but first you need to understand complex numbers... ok i will give you this rule if you're addin arguments ( angels ), its the same as multiplin complex numbers.. This is how it all starts.. argument of tan^-1 1/2 ==> tan(x)=y/x this comes from z=x+iy now your y =1 and your x =2...

When you are given a parametric equation you can basically change to the normal x and y.. Its called something starting with C.. catersion or something, its gay I know, trying to confuse the crap out of us. Post up the equation I might be able to help you out here....

fair enough fair enough =) how are you finding ext 1 maths, when i was in year 11 i found it more easier then 2unit maths. I dont know why, i really reallly crap with easy question, its really bad, teacher onced told my why cound't you get the basic percentage problem right but you managed to...
