Test and compare your internet speed

Might be deliberately shaped by your ISP though - I remember mine was in Australia.

Test and compare your internet speed

hot damn. This tempts me to sign up for a faster internet plan just to set the Speedtest.net high score here for residential internet speeds. e.g. S$90 a month gets me another Synology NAS and what I'd consider to be bloody fast internet speeds > http://viewqwest.com/edm/synology-promo/index.html

Test and compare your internet speed

You sure you don't have something else stealing all your bandwidth?

Test and compare your internet speed

I wondered if maybe someone was downloading off the network but every condo in the building has the same ISP... so it's probably sharing some limited bandwidth. I'm back in my home in Singapore and whilst I'm using an old Macbook which doesn't have wireless AC like my other devices do, the wifi...

Test and compare your internet speed

I'm in Malaysia and this is what I get on my Surface 3. My iPhone 6 didn't fare much better (but it got a better ping). (this also confirms that Chrome on my Surface 3 is normally capable of running speedtest with the graphical display of speed when the internet speed is <10Mbps)

Test and compare your internet speed

ISPs in Australia tend to throttle upload speeds from what I've seen. I don't know how I'll survive when I'm back as I love having a NAS on 24/7 for me to access my data/videos/etc... even right now I'm travelling and streaming TV shows and accessing documents from my NAS whilst backing up my...

We have similar broadband speeds - Bigpond Cable Ultimate?

Generation Y keen to head overseas and escape slowing Australian economy

Speaking from experience, working overseas isn't necessarily because Australia isn't great, but rather, it's an opportunity to be in a different market and prove your agility in adapting. Some countries/markets are more developed than ours and we can learn from them, whilst others are a bit...

Test and compare your internet speed

I'm impressed. Uniwide has improved quite a bit since my time. And it's free (but monitored).

Test and compare your internet speed

Is that over ethernet cable or wifi? I decided to save money and not upgrade to 2Gbps internet since my wireless AC router and my mobile devices will never get anywhere near said speed or utilise such bandwidth even with my NAS and numerous IP cameras running.

iOS 9 stuck on 'slide to upgrade' screen

Nah I did it over the air. And I've now got slide to unlock issue on my 5 :( Damn.

Test and compare your internet speed

Sounds funny now until they start capping speeds on some sites and outright blocking others. And such is my work Internet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

iOS 9 stuck on 'slide to upgrade' screen

Damn I jinxed myself. My iPhone 5s, 6, iPad Air 2 and my fiancé's iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 all updated fine to iOS 9 but my iPhone 5 seems to be stuck in the progress bar for the whole day (literally 18 hours). Grr. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Test and compare your internet speed

UNSW internet never felt that fast when I was a student there - I even remember the days when we had to sign up and then get a VPN login... but later on it was fast enough to make me come in to do my system updates on a weekend! Thought I'd casually try speedtest over wifi on my Surface 3 >...

iOS 9 stuck on 'slide to upgrade' screen

My iPhone 6 seemed to upgrade fine to iOS9 and my iPad Air 2 went to 9.1 the other night so all seems well. Wonder what caused yours to have issues :S

Can you double major(finance/accounting) in commerce if you do a double degree?

Also depends on the role specifics and whether it's a true accounting role (e.g. audit vs tax vs consulting) - some firms may take non accounting graduates but they'll put you through (aka pay for) a bridging or foundations type course (e.g. Deakin is quite popular for this). I am pretty sure...

    Apple WWDC 2015

I didn't watch the video yet but read the snippets - iPad Pro sounds good but doesn't really meet any of my needs especially as I have a similar form factor device (my Surface 3). iPhone 6S sounds interesting but I'll do my best to avoid buying a new iPhone this year since I feel like I buy one...

    Investment Banking

Fair enough. Hopefully as peeps go through uni they will see there's more options out there which whilst not as hot in the short term, are still able to bring those positives over a longer term. That, and I think some people accept the reality that they wouldn't suit IB no matter how hard they...

    Investment Banking

To a degree you can move around within different Commerce fields at the more junior levels but some of the more specialised/niche areas obviously require a bit more subject matter depth, or in the case of actuarial, are considered very specialist. One thing I learnt in my career is that once...

    Nintendo 3DS vs 2DS

I look at stats of my FB friends on there and wonder... but how? It's such a new game.. ... anyway, I got the missus into Pokemon (she grew up in a country where they did not have Pokemon... how is that even possible?!) so hopefully they remake Pokemon Yellow for 3DS and then boom, we're set...
