that's really cool man. i'm talking about how much of their state rank came from studying all day, and how much came from the tutoring they received. i'm trying to help this kid.

i tend not to listen in to much detail, which i guess i should change from here on in :S it makes it kinda difficult. i'm also pretty lazy. i'm thinking of getting a voice recorder thingy for lectures, or just use my phone.

depends on your school, and where you're ranked in each subject at the end of the year. here were my marks after first assessment; english adv; 53% 140/145 (final hsc mark 82) maths 2unit; 80% 45ish/65 (final hsc mark 92) physics 80% 40/60 (final hsc mark 83) bio 83% 35/50 (final hsc mark 84)...

Haven't been, but just looking at their website, they got a few state rankings in maths (two got 1st in 3unit, and one got 5th in 4unit), and first in state in physics. But that could be due to them studying 24/7 rather than their tutoring abilities.

That may take up some time on your timetable, but remember that when exams roll around, you're gonna have one whole subjects extra to study, which would suck. That 7 hours could be useful for study, closer to exams. But it would take a load off, in sem 2 I guess. Is the subject fairly easy?

I agree call docs. This is not your fathers life. Just because he missed out on an oppurtunity, does not mean he has any right to dictate how your life unfolds. Or just lie to him, go to tutoring and waste the pathetic cunts money.

I did Pd/h/pe, i did little to no work all year. I crammed before trials and HSC, and I got 91 overall for it. It's an interesting and easy subject. I don't know why more people don't choose it :S Stick with it, especially if you like it. My older sis got 96 in it too, and she put less...
