    HSC 2015 MX1 Marathon (archive)

Re: HSC 2015 3U Marathon do these players get to see the cards lol. if so, then 1/25 my ability in perms is terrible, anyone got recommendations on where to practice some problems (easy-challenging) o-o

    HSC 2015 MX2 Marathon (archive)

Re: HSC 2015 4U Marathon yeah so many people get the locus part wrong, esp. the restricted domain in which the locus exists. Def draw a diag...

    5 minute physics summary

Quanta to Quarks and parts of Ideas would prob also be important, you reckon?

    5 minute physics summary

    the truth

    Lenz's Law requirements

Yeah, eddy currents produce their own mag field that opposes or 'repel' (though oppose is a better word) the change in mag. flux
  12. Kaido

    Lenz's Law requirements

Pretty sure this is not true. emf induces a current, not the other way around. (Or is it the current induced that gives rise to a 'backwards' emf? )
  13. Kaido

    Lenz's Law requirements

Pretty sure you just stated Lenz's law, LOL

    Half Yearly Past Papers

yeah trials are the same as half-yrly, just more topics

    HSC 2012-2015 Chemistry Marathon (archive)

re: HSC Chemistry Marathon Archive From ideas to imp (i think), i believe transparency has to do with the crystalline structure of the polyethylene. The lower density and non-uniform branching structure equates to less crystalline regions that enable light to pass through -> thus more transparent?

    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive ahh yeah, i just wanted to know whether it satisfied the first half of the question, haha :D

    HSC 2012-2015 Chemistry Marathon (archive)

re: HSC Chemistry Marathon Archive Yeah that's just the production of elements such as curium etc. (particle accelerator generated elements) new prob means last 50 years, lol

    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive - lenz's law states that an emf induced as a consequence of faraday's law will induced a current in such a direction that the mag. field it produces opposes the motion of the mag. flux that produced it -> production of back eddy currents... - prev. conceived as...

    Easy but hard sketching question?

most likely the second one, it's a pretty common Q.
  20. Kaido

Why does higher ionising power equate to higher electrical conductivity?

yes, 'free' electrons in conduction bond (commonly known as 'sea' of electrons in metals) will conduct electricity. However, it's important to note that as electrons in this 'sea' increases, so does the resistivity of current flow. (I think)
