please help- need opinion on subjects..

I do both Ancient History and Biology. Ancient History - It's an interesting subject that is quite heavy with content but if you're interested in learning about ancient civilisations (Egypt, Pompeii & Herculaneum, Minoan Crete etc.) then choose it. It also depends on what you're learning for...

    Would I be allowed.....

Yes, you can. I've asked my head teacher and you're allowed to. Although, I agree with LHS. It's best to go find your own related texts since it's your own detailed analysis which is valuable.

How many hours are you studying?

+1. This thread makes me feel guilty (and I feel motivated a bit...) I've done 2-3 hours of studying for the first two weeks and so far, my plans of completing solid studying of 3+ hours have failed. There's just the casual distractions and what not. But since there's a week left, I'm going to...

    Regrets of Picking Certain Subjects

Shouldn't have chosen Ancient History and picked up Extension History. I kind of regret dropping Business Studies since it was my forte and not choosing economics and extension english.

HSC Biology Android and iOS [Complete port of HSC Online Bio for offline viewing]

Hey, this is awesome! Great job :) I commend you for your dedication and hard work I've just downloaded the application and I reckon it'd be convenient if there was a home page with all the hyperlinks for the core and optional modules instead of a really long, continuous page. And from clicking...

    Biology 2013ers MARATHONN

The negative feedback mechanism involves opposing or negating a stimuli by instigating a new response in the opposite direction. This type of feedback mechanism results in relatively constant stability and maintenance of optimum levels within the body by constant repetition of the system. e.g...

    Biology 2013ers MARATHONN

This thread is brilliant :D A chemistry thread would be awesome too~ a) Homeostasis is important in organisms as it allows for a relatively stable and constant internal environment which is critical for enzymes to operate most efficiently within its optimum pH and temperature range. Homeostasis...

How many hours of study are you currently doing?

I've been doing 2-3 hours of studying: completing homework, revising class work, reading over advanced syllabus notes and writing notes. I'm aiming for over 3+ hours because homework and note taking are quite time consuming. What is your atar aim?

    English Queries

I'm In advanced english and we're currently studying the text. The questions for standard and advanced should be different to suit the difficulty of the course and the capabilities of the students. I didn't know standard studied the text..

    42 hours

First day was great. Not bad at all, except our new timetables are effective as of week 4 meaning we can't drop until then. And the principal will be interviewing us regarding our subjects and dropping.

Drop 2U Maths to General and keep 12 units?

Thank you! I'll just work really hard these holidays and continue 2U maths. I'll see if I find 2U difficult then drop it. Btw, did you do chemistry? If you did, do you know the assumed knowledge that is required from preliminary course for HSC?

Drop 2U Maths to General and keep 12 units?

Hi everyone. I'm having issues with whether or not I should drop from 2U maths to General maths. 1. Drop 2U to General? I'm only doing 2U maths since it's assumed knowledge for Science courses in Uni. FYI, I am eager to do Science in University, but I'm significantly failing 2U maths with a...

What subjects are you dropping ?

I'm thinking of dropping Ancient since I have no use for it in the future, but I'm performing incredibly well in the subject. I think 12 units is too much, but I want a back up incase I screw my maths and chem. Or maybe I'll drop to General Maths cos my performance is :\
