    Semester 1 Timetables (2010)

I'm really happy with my timetable. I logged out of the MyUni site as soon as my timetable processed. Does this mean my timetable is 'saved' now? Is it possible that I could lose it? I'm assuming that since there are no clashes and I didn't need to make any changes, it will stay that way...

    miranda rta p's test

Apparently the dragon lady is still at Miranda. My friend did her test in January this year, and she actually said to the receptionist "I hope I don't get the dragon lady", and apparently none of the other examiners were aware that she had such a notorious reputation around here. Another thing...

    I want to decline

Hi everyone, Thanks for the information - I'm in the same predicament. I received a main round offer for combined law at UNSW, and I accepted it - making me a UNSW student. I then received a second round offer from Usyd (as well as a merit Scholarship), so I chose Usyd and accepted that...

is ur atar enough for usyd merit scholarship?

Just thought I'd clear up a few things :) All of the Merit Scholarship applicants who were short-listed received a letter in December I think, before the ATARs were released (not sure about Entry Scholarship). So it was based mostly on your academic record and personal statement...

    ATAR estimate - I need 99.55

Hi everyone, I want to study International and Gobal Studies/ Law at Usyd, so I will need an ATAR of 99.55. Can you guys give me a rough idea of my chances of this based on my exit ranks/ final marks? And in terms of scaling, do I have a chance of achieving this? I go to a mixed Catholic...

Bachelor of International (and Global Studies)/ Law

Hi all, I have been interested in studying law at university for a long time, and I want to study a combined degree, with a focus on international law/relations and languages. I have heard from other boreders that the Bachelor of International and Global Studies (offered at places like USyd...

    BOS Showcase: 2009 Major Works

And i love yours! Your central concept and writing style is 'write' up my alley. :) More detailed comments on everyone elses' works to come, but to be honest, I'm just glad I don't have to worry about Enex2 anymore.

    BOS Showcase: 2009 Major Works

Okay, I've been lurking on this thread for ages, wondering whether I should put mine up or not... All of the MW's are great! And I'm loving the Clifford/Zeppelin banter. I really don't like my MW that much - it's a suite of poetry, but I don't think I gave it the attention it deserved...

Who's going to TSFX in July?

Are the lectures for Modern History, English and Legal Studies worthwhile? On the registration form you can specify exactly what unit/module you are studying (ie. Albert Speer for Modern; Frankenstein/BladeRunner for English and Workplace for Legal for me). Does this mean that it's worth it?

    Writing a Crime Writing Essay

Hi everyone, Our EEx1 class is studying Module A: Genre - Crime Writing, but our teacher is not really helpful when it comes down to actually passing exams... So, I'm fine with the creative writing aspect of the exam, but the essay, not so much. I'm usually fine with the essay part of...

NSW to dump UAI! New Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR)

Ok here are my issues: What's the point in changing to this "ATAR" now if the HSC is going to cease to exist in a few years? International recognition? Does this advantage us? "There's no such thing as a perfect child when it comes to the HSC" - doesn't this mean that if the top is 99.95...

Future Plans: What ATAR/course/job are you aiming for?

Re: Future Plans: What UAI/course/job are you aiming for? 99.55 + for USYD I've always wanted to go to Sydney Uni. I want to do Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of International and Global Studies. Majoring in French, European Studies etc. Aiming for a career in international law/diplomacy, that sort...

    Thoughts on Frankenstein/Bladerunner

I thought Frankenstein was easy reading compared to Dracula and the Turn of the Screw in Ext 1 last year!! Once you get to understanding Blade Runner & Frankenstein, it gets more interesting (for me, anyway ;) )

How did u go in ur proposal?

I'm so happy! I got 40/40 for my oral component of the proposal, and 50/50 for the written part. I came first in the class (of four) :)

    help need idea for mw!

They are both really good ideas. Personally I would choose 1 - the six day war. Talking about different interpretations over time would be much easier than determining whether the losses were caused by megalomania or sub-par tactical decisions (although Hitler clearly was a megalomaniac)...
