    Question: HSC Exam

I know of at least 20 people that can finish the paper, possibly more. I could give you more detail around trials. Finishing the paper itself isnt the hard bit, it's getting it all right. That' said, 1-6 are straightforward, 7 requires some roundabout work and 8 is generally the losemarks question.

Hours of Study Per Day do you do?

Choose between Chemistry, Physics and Economics.

Please make sure you are 100% you do not want to do the subject anymore before you drop, you wil not be able to pick it up again. Remember, you've only just started Year 11, so why not do an entire year with an open mind, and possibly the first module of your HSC (Term 4 Year 11) in order to...

    Getting into Medicine (Urgent!!!!!)

Advanced vs Standard are scaled the same but align differently. You need a much lower mark in Advanced to get 90 as compared to Standard. It's something like 77/105 for Advanced and 100/105 for Standard. Once you get that 90, it scales the same, just it's that much harder in Std.

Does James Ruse select there maths ext. 2 class?

Ruse does select their classes yes. Being in the top 96 will get you in, and a lot of newbies get in. As a newbie you're automatically placed in Maths4, which is the last 4U class. Generally if you stick to the standard of 4 you should get in comfortably.

    stress relievers?

There's no stress in Year 11.

Choose between Chemistry, Physics and Economics.

Comm means do Eco. It's better for you than Phys/Chem. And you will need to get up to date, especially if you do Economics courses in Uni. WHich you will.

Choose between Chemistry, Physics and Economics.

Don't make posts if your advice isnt accurate. @OP, didn't realise you were in Year 11. Skim through HSC textbooks and see if either interests you. @Schoey: We've been through this before. Your opinions on subjects you don't even do, are worthless. I don't give a shit what you learnt in Year...

Choose between Chemistry, Physics and Economics.

Never did Physics, never liked it past Space type stuff, never will understand it, with it's strange plug in formulas crap. That said I'm not bad at maths, but irrelevant. Between Chem and Eco: Chem is a boring subject that's relatively straight forward, however some bits get interesting...

    Regretting or Hating any subjects?

It's in Wahroonga. That's called changing subjects. Changing a study pattern is changing from homework at night to homework in the morning. Well technically you can drop Bio till half yearly if you get into 3U Maths. And it's a BoS requirement to do minimum 12 in Terms 1, 2, 3 of Year 11.

    sleep

Throw in 2 hours of study, that's why. I'm slowly weaning myself towards it. No distraction makes it a great time to work. Consider you do 3 at night before you get tired, 2 in the morning means you can easily pull more study and use your tiem more efficiently.
  14. D

    sleep

This. Except I don't nap in the Arvo, and sleep 10:30/11-5/5:30. It all depends. The morning time is awesome once you stop slamming your head on your table from sleepiness.

    No. Of Periods

Oh yeah we finished Polynomials with Complex. So now we got Conics/Volumes/Mechanics to go.
  18. D

    No. Of Periods

We get 5 per fortnight, but our 3U/4U classes are the same. So really we get 20 periods/fortnight of Maths total, and the teacher splits it any way he pleases. We start Conics next week (finished Graphing, Integration and Complex).

    Likelihood of 99+?

Those subjects aren't bad. 90-95 in all those subjects will see her through easily.

    English advanced or standard?!?!

No they don't scale differently. They align differently. You see, a 95 in Standard scales the same as a 95 in Advanced, however to get a 95 in standard you hve to get 100+/105 raw or pretty much come first in the state. In Advanced you'd only need about 97/105 and even then you'd be coming well...
