    Best HSC Biology option topic?

Genetics has got to be more interesting than communication! Genetics is my favourite part of Biology!

is my father right - how much of a factor is the 'reputation' of the uni? usyd vs UTS

Re: is my father right - how much of a factor is the 'reputation' of the uni? usyd vs Bachelor of Global Studies is an okay course, but why not do Communication and combine it with international studies at UTS - you still learn a second language from beginners level up but you can choose to...

What is the most interesting HSC science course

Senior Science looks really interesting albeit extremely easy academically. I'm only doing Biology. Can I replace a non-science subject with Senior Science in Year 12, e.g. drop Hospitality and pick up Senior Science? Is it possible to keep my 13 units and pick up 2 units of HSC Senior Science...

Legal Studies - New Syllabus - Roll Call Prelim 2010

Awesome! Did you get to do any legal work or was it just file sorting? I'd love to follow up undergraduate medicine, Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery with a law degree, Bachelor of Laws at ANU. It would open up a lot of opportunities. :) But that's probably too much study for me (9...

careers in law other than lawyer

The Chaser team all have law degree (I have heard) and they're comedians. So maybe a good knowledge of the law might make you have a humorous outlook on life. You could be a legal comedian, haha:tongue:

is my father right - how much of a factor is the 'reputation' of the uni? usyd vs UTS

Re: is my father right - how much of a factor is the 'reputation' of the uni? usyd vs :D It's funny how you think turning 18 makes you some universities guide guru

is my father right - how much of a factor is the 'reputation' of the uni? usyd vs UTS

Re: is my father right - how much of a factor is the 'reputation' of the uni? usyd vs UTS-Kuringai is a beautiful campus. Natural bliss! UTS-city is not beautiful.

is my father right - how much of a factor is the 'reputation' of the uni? usyd vs UTS

Re: is my father right - how much of a factor is the 'reputation' of the uni? usyd vs Okay. I just don't agree with this culture of elitism. The OP wants to go to UTS so he should, in my mind, do what he wants to do, not what his father is pushing for. I don't see any point in going to USyd...

Why did u choose standard english?

I got 88% in the NSW SC English-literacy test in 2009 and the Assistant English Coordinator said to me, "Do Advanced, because if you can't do it James, who can?" I think I came fourth in English in the end. Anyway, my results were quite solid. But even though most of my class got Band sixes, the...

Why did u choose standard english?

Maybe it was in 2008 but I'm quite sure The Merchant of Venice was an option for a prescribed text for English (Standard) students for the Area of Study, or a module. I've heard of schools allocating Shakespearean texts to Standard English students.

Legal Studies - New Syllabus - Roll Call Prelim 2010

Write in if you're doing Legal Studies Preliminary course (NSW HSC) in 2010. There is a new syllabus which includes modified/changed content in the preliminary certificate and Higher School Certificate courses. Here's the link to the new syllabus...

How long does it take to become a paedeatrician - 10 years?

I am aware that the shortest time it takes to become a FRACGP (qualified Australia and New Zealand General Practitioner) is 10 years, with a five-year undergraduate MB BS or B Med. Normally it takes 11 years to become a GP. Does it take 11 years to become a paediatrician, which seems to...

    3 band 6's but didnt get a 90?

Alex09HSC doesn't seem to know much about scaling even compared to my disturbingly narrow knowledge of it (according to Anna). Anna, do you look like the girl called Anna from The O.C. if so ... wow :D

Why did u choose standard english?

lol, your school cannot force you to do a certain level of English. My principal tried to bully me into doing English Extension 1. "What are you doing Hospitality for instead of English Extension?" asked she. "I love to cook," I replied simply. "I gave up on doing English Extension for the sake...

Why did u choose standard english?

Some Standard English students did indeed study Shakespeare as a prescribed text. And in my opinion, Shakespeare is the best English literature you can find. I get frustrated by the Bard's inane cleverness and ye English of Olde (lol), but in the end, I love the plays and I love watching them...

Biology in focus: is this book really needed for notes?

I bloody well hope Biology in Focus is relevant because I have to use it for prelim and HSC at MCK. That's going to be a bitch if it's just babble:confused:

How many words for 5 mark, 10 mark, 15 mark, 20 mark questions?

The 2010-2011 HSC examination format sounds great. I'm also looking forward to the new Legal Studies course first introduced to NSW Year 11 in 2010 and first examined for the HSC in 2011. I decided to do Legal instead of PDHPE. :)

Do HSC sciences need more maths?

Good point ^ :) Teachers could teach beyond the syllabus and teach more maths in HSC science courses, or students of HSC physics could teach themselves projectile motion o_O

Is it still possible to get a good atar with general math and standard english?

99.95 is the highest possible rank or ATAR you could get with those subjects, I believe. Only General Maths and PDHPE have a reputation for being "capped" (having a maximum scaled mark less than 50/50 or 100%). Standard English may or may not be capped. Biology scales moderately well, Chemistry...
