    underfilled tutorials

I have enrolled in a tute that currently only has 5/25 places filled and the only other tute for that subject that fits my timetable has 23/25 enrolled. My concern is unsw may cancel a a tute if not enough people fill the class. Is this likely? should i change to the tute with 23 enrolled?

    A "good" WAM

I realise there will be many personal factors affecting graduate job prospects and there is no definitive academic achievement that will lead being a successful applicant, but what WAM would one say in general is "good"? In this context I define a "good" WAM to be one that generally does not...

    UNSW internal transfer clarification

Thanks for all the replies. I got an email from the student center today that says: The WAM requirement does not apply since you’re already in the BCom program. Could you come and speak with a student adviser at the Business Student Centre for assistance? So it seems you're all correct in...

    UNSW internal transfer clarification

I am currently enrolled commerce (liberal studies) at UNSW and my 2011 ATAR was 96ish. I want to transfer into commerce/economics and understand that typically for an internal transfer into this it requires a 75 WAM (source...

com liberal studies vs straight commerce

Thanks wantingtoknow. I think you're correct about my second question but i'll probably speak to the uni tomorrow.

com liberal studies vs straight commerce

I enrolled in straight commerce after the main round but am considering doing commerce (liberal studies) instead. I'm here mainly to clarify my understanding of the course and perhaps hear some BoS opinions. Firstly, the handbook says "studies 6-9 liberal studies courses". Am i right in my...

    Second round with AAA

I understand this. I was asking whether this would be the same in second round offers if i changed my preferences to make law my first preference.

    Second round with AAA

thanks man. main reason i was hesitant is their wording "as long as you have not received an offer to a higher preference", however once i change the order of my preferences i will not have received an offer to a higher preference, right?

    Second round with AAA

Will this be guaranteed though? ie: not dependent on people declining/deferring offers? cheers

    Second round with AAA

i put straight commerce as preference 1 for main round but am since considering law. Since i got above 95 and the AAA i would have been guaranteed entry in main round but would this also be the case in second round offers? The scholarship does say "guaranteed entry given the ATAR is within 5...

    UNSW AAA scholarship

Does this mean if i change my preferences in the late round i will definitely get in? The scholarship says "Guaranteed entry as long as the atar is within 5 points of the published cut off" and my atar with the scholarship is > 100

    Should I be worried

As has been said, most offers are received during the main round for most courses. That being said if you're 3 points off last years cut-off I wouldn't suggest getting your hopes up.

    UAC preferences

I agree, but thats why i'm trying to make the right decision the first time around. My question is would i be guaranteed entry into straight commerce in the second round if my atar was high enough for law? (pretty sure with 'HSC plus' my ATAR is >100 )

    UAC preferences

    UAC preferences

So preferences for main round close tomorrow and i'm still tossing up between straight commerce or com/law. Would i be buying myself some time if i just put in com/law for main round and then still be guaranteed to be able to choose straight commerce if i want to in second round since i pretty...

What's the point of learning the syllabus off by heart?

It's probably all been said, but by reading a question and subconciously linking it to which specific dot point they're assessing it goes along way towards knowing exactly what to write.
