For Question 2 of MC I got A not B. Reason being is because when you say (x+iy)^2 = 7-24i, x^2-y^2 = 7 and 2xy = -24. So both x and y cant be negative at the same time otherwise you cant get -24. Hence B is wrong.

Re: HSC 2015 4U Marathon For your last statement written in latex, x^5 / 5 is not greater than x^5/3 . Its the other way around actually. But it doesn't really matter either way because it works since you can say: 1-x^2 + x^4 < 1 - x^2 +\frac{5x^4}{3} and so if \frac{1}{x^2+1} < 1-x^2 + x^4...
