I don't know. He pretty much threatened me to sign the thing, saying that he couldn't give me shifts if I didn't sign it.

Just asking, does anyone know what 'flex up' is? During my shift other day that I was roster on for, my manager gave me this sheet to sign saying my shift that day and my shift tomorrow were to be 'flexd up' and I would get part time pay, but I would get sick leave and annual leave, which...

Hey, just a question. With the upcoming pay rise, how much is the pay rise? And also, I'm still on probation pay, will I get the pay rise?

On Sundays, the pay is time and a half right? So therefore, its your normal pay x1.5 My normal pay is 13.30, so shouldn't Sunday pay be x1.5 of that 19.95? Because on my pay slip, it says the rate is 18.84. Did I get my facts wrong?

So what rate are they taxing me at then, if they don't know how much I'm going to earn? Is it some arbitrary figure?

I ticked the tax free box in my tax form I handed in to them. I'm not part of the union or anything like that.

Just wondering if they stuffed up my pay, and thought I'd check with you guys. I'm 18 y.o, working casual, and my safeway job is tax free. Last week I worked Fri 1600 - 2100 Sat 0900 - 2100 Sun 0800 - 1600 (was only meant to work to 1300, but manager asked me to stay back) I had a half an...

Yep did that again yesterday, this time asking for the store manager instead of my department manager. He said he would talk to my department manager. Still waiting for a call back.

How long does it take them to give you your first shift? I finished induction last Thursday, although I still need to do the in-store one. I called my store on Tuesday and they said they'd call back, and I'm still waiting.

I have a few questions. 1) I just got a job at Safeway, and my family have been planning a trip overseas for a while now. At the interview, the manager asked me if i was willing to get out of the holiday if i got the job (1/1/09 - 11/1/09), and I said yes. When I told my parents this, they...
