    Richard III/LFR

Completed my HSC last year, but I wrote something like this in the exam. Directly from my notes: "Unknowingly, Shakespeare extends this textual conversation to Pacino who ironically adopts the role of Richard to a far greater extent than initially perceptible. Through the omission of physiognomy...

    English Paper 1 Predictions/Thoughts

Na it was in sample questions. Last yr was like shared and personal experiences. But same thing they probably wont ask it.

    Chemistry question help

    19) 1000 monomer units. Therefore 999 water molecules are eliminated. MM(polymer) = MM(1000 monomers) - MM(999 water molecules). MM(polymer) = 1000(104) - 999(18) = 8.6 x 10^4 i.e option C.

circuit q pls help yr 11

I dont remember circuits too well but i believe you minus the voltage drop from the first resistor. So V = 15 - 4 = 11V. Then you use this voltage for the second resistor and the current from part a.

Pathways into dentistry that don't require UCAT?

For Usyd if you get the required atar and do well in the interview/assessment to get into the double degree Bachelor of science/Doctor of dental medicine, you wont have to do any other test (no ucat or gamsat).

    Mod 7 photoelectric effect

The stopping voltage required to stop the electrons is provided by: KEmax=eV where V is the stopping voltage. Therefore for each frequency the voltage would be equal to the kinetic energy of the photoelectrons. For example at 6 x 10^14 Hz the KEmax would be 0.16eV. Using KEmax = hf - work...

    Scaling for Maths Ext 1 & 2

Using 2020 alignment ext 1 would be 92 aligned. Ext 2 would probably be in 50s or low 60s.

    Centripetal force question

Due the larger difference in height from the starting point and the conservation of energy, the KE (and the velocity) will be higher at A (since change in GPE = change in KE). The radius is only for the arc of the circle at the troughs which I guess in this case is assumed to be the same, hence...

    English HSC Writing Space

For Paper 1, short answer is there extra writing space because I haven't seen it. If not, are you able to write past the given lines. Would they still mark it as long as it's within the boxed margins?

    struggle with graphs and functions

a,b and c are the x intercepts of the graph (three x-intercepts). If n,m or p are 1 then their corresponding x-intercepts will just be normal x intercepts (cut or cross the x axis like a linear graph). If n,m or p are even their x-intercepts will be turning points (note that the turning pts will...

    Mod 6 Multiple choice

    Just by looking at the question you know that LiOH is in excess. Thus, using n = cv, n(excess LiOH) = n(LiOH total) - n(H2SO4) = 0.0035 mol. Since LiOH --> Li+ + OH-, n(OH) = 0.0035 mol. To find [OH] = 0.0035/0.08 = 0.04375 mol/L. pOH = -log(0.04375) = 1.359. pH = 14 - pOH = 12.64...

    Module 5 banking

Since the normal force is at an angle, it now has a vertical and horizontal component. This horizontal component force now contributes to the centripetal force. The frictional force is parallel to the slope/banked track so it also possesses a horizontal & vertical component, and the horizontal...

    How do I name this

Similar to a branched alkane with alkyl groups attached (e.g. a -CH3 branch is called methyl as it has one less hydrogen than methane because it is also bonded to a carbon atom). Similarly since the cyclopentane is bonded to another carbon it has one less hydrogen and by replacing 'ane' with...
