just don't masturbate on the train and you should be fine

    Male VS Female main character?

whenever i did creatives for english it would always be either an inanimate object or an animal. Avoids the gender issue altogether and lets you focus on creating a truly interesting character that isn't just another person we've already seen in a movie/book or some other form. With so few words...

What's the answer to this question?

i'm embarrassed to say that i didn't know this was a biology thread and that this was some life altering thread under the "blueprint of life section" :\

Things to see, places to go

Amidst such a big campus i feel like I've boxed myself in going to the same few places to relax and/or study. Can some fellow usyd folks point me to some great spots worth checking out? thanks in advance

Transfer course now from different faculty

are you sure you're not happy in the course? I felt the same way this first week but it wasn't until last night i remembered why i chose my course and realised the issue was simply me being a little overwhelmed with the high school to university transition. Just be sure you're not getting cold...

    Timetable Clashes???

I have the same clash but on a Thursday with a mech tutorial and phys1901. I'm thinking we're going to have to skip the physics lecture :/ keep in mind you have to finish atleast 1 advanced major to get an advanced science degree. It sounds like you're doing a double so be mindful of that (since...

What to expect on the 1st day of Uni...

if it happens that often then you need to start setting up some good one-liners to drop on everyone when they say it. Rebel level 11/10

What to expect on the 1st day of Uni...

    Picture Book?

I actually think using a picture book is great. I used one in year 12 for belonging. Was super easy to read and had some great meaning I could draw. If you have confidence in your abilities and a teacher to check your work then go for it. But you should always have more than 1 text for belonging...

Having a part-time job during the HSC

limit it to 12 hours a week. heading up to exams cut it back to one shift on a weekend. In actual exam periods it's best to avoid work altogether unless you think you can handle it. You shouldn't be working at all during the final hsc period though (unless you're uber confident or have a large...

Easy or hard to self learn Logarithmic and Exp function?

If you've got a good book i actually think that those are the easiest parts of the 2 unit course (aside from one dimensional motion). Go for it (Y)

    Started a band but....

in all honesty, if you make a band with a group that unorganised then you'll end up doing more hanging out rather than actually playing music (speaking from experience). If you want to get better at your instrument and actually piece together some music with others then you need to find...

Memorising 4 essays in a week?

It's possible. Whether or not you should do it is another question though

Is there anyone who never wears earphones/headphones?

I read a study once that said any headphone volume beyond the devices' 60% volume point is when you should be worried. Before that it will have minimal effect on your hearing which degrades naturally with age anyway. Wish i could find that study to show you though

    Careers on the cutting edge

i wrote it above :L energy/sustainability (most likely through fusion) and medicine (diagnostic imaging and treatment)

    Careers on the cutting edge

Their work in physics is more along the lines of astrophysics with some engineering. Unless i missed something of course

    Careers on the cutting edge

If i could do anything in this world then i would love to work in either energy/sustainability (working on things like fusion) or in medicine (new diagnostic and treatment methods) applying physics on the cutting edge to help people. However the more i look around the less i see opportunities to...
