Damn, I got a call from UNSW too but I missed it. Then I received an email from then after about being eligible for the $5000 AAA scholarship. Your reasoning makes sense but I really doubt that I got the highest atar. Some kids in my grade do the infamous 4u maths, chem and physics triad and all...
I knew people who were invited to attend interviews with atars lower than mine this year but their UCAT scores were insane (min 94-95 percentile). So I figured I may have had a chance if I did better in the UCAT. I totally botched it and (from memory)barely scraped the 80th percentile. But tbh...
Ahhh thanks for the heads up! I’m honestly too chicken to do a gap year and would start a course even if my atar was really high. My Asian parents would kill me if I didn’t start uni.
And I thought I would have a chance since one of my friends got an interview with a lower atar of 98.35 but her...
ahhh, i honestly thought my chances were screwed with that requirement but i was lucky and got a conditional e12 offer. so i think my spot is secured. i can't be sure about everyone else tho. i heard that the atar requirement drops slightly in later atar offer rounds cause some high ranking...
thanks, and i hope so :/ i didnt get anywhere close to a 90 percentile this year. but that's my fault. i messed around and didnt try hard enough in the UCAT cause my ass was not expecting a 95+ atar to even make the cut off. so i sorta just gave up on study. this year i'm really gonna try hard...
I THINK they only consider atar if you take a gap year whereas they consider GPA if you reapply once you start a uni course (aka nonstandard entry). I'm thinking about that gap year but idk if my ATAR is as competitive as it can be. Like if I got 99+ then I'd be more comfortable with the idea...
i'm rioting, my atar (98.85) meets the cut off for UNSW medicine but my UCAT was fucked.
my dumbass needs to sit it again this year and reapply next year :(
