Omie, it's starting a week earlier this year because they want to incorporate the new 13 week semester into the academic year while allowing students to finish for the summer break at the same time as previous years. That means we have to start uni earlier though. :(

That's what they said about 08ers! But there are quite a lot of intl students at unsw...um...can't really do anything about it except accept it and besides, they're subsidising our education for us.

And don't worry because you can always transfer later. I know heaps and heaps of people who didn't meet their UAI aim and are now transferring to the course of their dreams. It's never never too late! You gotta have hope and determination! Just focus on doing really really well in first year and...

But you went to a top 10 school!!! Maybe your school assessment ranks will pull you up, if everybody else at your school did better.

@uncle: I attended 80% of my tutes for that subject...I am 80% sure of that. 80% certainty is pretty good though so if they deem me not to have, I am going to fight for that PC. The tutor better not have recorded my attendance down incorrectly...or there is hell to pay.
