Wait lmao, it's so ez. I am so stupid. If you equate the f(x) and y =x, you rearrange you get the equation, and that gives the answer. LMAO, too rusty at maths.
(So same thing as I said before, but you don't need to solve for the root of the equation, it's unneccessary)
(Didn't actually try it...
Don't equations and their inverse intercept at y=x. (I don't even know if that's relevant, just something to consider). Then you could just find the root of the equation. Then equate, huzzah.
On a side note, why did you study so many degrees? Are you trying to collect them all? (Pokemon!)
Edit: Actually curious, not intended to be offensive.
I mean I've heard (and kinda makes sense anyways) that schools might be bunching people at the top together so that they all get decent internal marks, done so by reducing the difference between them assuming that they do decently well as a whole. This way they all get as close as possible to...
From what I've heard, and some bias from a person who always thought that Go8 is the best choice:
I've heard that there is a fair share of 'dropkicks' there, and as one would expect the atmosphere is not as academically inclined as Go8 universities (e.g. USYD, UNSW) where there is an extremely...
Wow! You are so cool for missing basically all of your senior years. Truly a golden era I must say :)
Edit: Referring to how your cohort isn't lame, cause understanding the value of ATAR is lame
To be honest, the people on here probably don't really care about early offers. Just from what I've seen so far (or what I feel) the demographic of BoS consists of people who are pretty high achievers (let's just say 90+) and so the early offers are typically meaningless cause only most will...
I think we are just more knowledgeable and understanding of how ATAR doesn't mean anything really and have already entered the stage of "Oh ok, nice. I'm gonna go uni next year, and now let me carry on doing what I was doing".
I mean (no hard feelings) UAC has no obligation to allow you to participate in Dec R2 or Jan R1, so don't get your expectations too high. You can't do anything to change what happened, just hope for the best and see if they'll make an exception.
Bonus question:
If anybody knows what is/would be the requirement to get the USYD scholarship, please tell me. Cause "academic merit" just doesn't help at all.
I've been offered a conditional scholarship offer from USYD (Sir William Tyree Scholarship), which I don't know when it will release. The other problem is that scholarships are supposedly released on the 23rd, but offers for Dec R2 are released on the 22nd, so if I don't put USYD as my top...
I don't think you should see maths as something you just do because it's a prereq or just something to allow you to do Engineering. Engineering is going to go into much more difficult maths (understatement), (MX2 is going to be covered at the start (in a somewhat quick matter) (just to show how...
