I found the stock locked down windows with the completely restrictive firewall to be utterly useless.
However I'm a bit of a computer nerd and about a year ago I decided to reinstall the operating system on here & right now im running linux which is great, as it performs quite nicely and I...
Do you have a copy of the exam? look at the diagram, it clearly shows 0.2m is the perpendicular height of the wire. F=BILsin(theta), L is the full length of the conductor in the field, as such we need to use the sin30 & our perpendicular height to find the full length of the wire which is...
Back Page? really? so the answer booklet had 3 writing pages?... i fit a & b in book one, asked for another to fit c in, and did d & e in book 2 with plenty of space
ok so v = 2pi*r / T, I cant find any v from the first question but anyway you can't use v from anywhere, at different orbits there will be different orbital velocities (it is not constant, unlike r^3/t^2) and as such you can't just sub it into other equations
Yeah I found some of the multiple choice quite challenging, and the very fact that we still haven't completely established the answer for 20 says something.
However Section 1 wasn't too hard, & my module was fairly decent, so all round I found this to be a very reasonable test.
6 is definitely C,
8 I worked out to be A, i am quite certain it is A & will post a solution if you like
9 I believe is B
14 is not C
18 i do believe is C
20 is debatable, HgCdTe is a semi-conductor btw
Did you miss calculus 101? In question 14, if we were to derive this graph the rate of change at the peaks are 0, therefore the EMF must be zero at these points
Its V=IR, lower current and higher resistance does not neccesarily = low voltage, it could equal the same voltage
e.g changing from 0.4A to 0.2A, and resistance from 5 Ohms to 10 Ohms
Idk, i was pissed that there wasn't any mathematical questions in Quanta to Quarks. I spent ages studying chemical transmutations (I dont do chemistry, its all foreign to me) and it wasn't even in there!
I Think that was the point of the question, how are you meant to make an assessment on which model is best if you don't calculate the power loss on each
