I was going through something similar, except my decision was between combined law/ commerce at USYD (entry scholarship $6000) or UTS Co-Op for accounting ($43000 over 3 yrs). I'm just going to give you the best piece of advice that my friend's dad gave me: What's a few thousand dollars now...
you're a baby laura_a. no wonder they didnt want you for the co-op. youd just be crying all day....
How about you go fuck yourself. If they're going to assume a moral high ground and tell me I'm not fucking good enough for them, they don't deserve to get $20000 from me every year, to fund...
Lol thanks guys.
Worked over a month on this application, and built up my extra-curriculars and service, to a decent standard because I knew that unis love that stuff (so it wasn't all academics). It just sucks majorly because I've wanted this for ages. But to hear that other better-qualified...
i didn't get one for acc, finance or actuarial. My lowest rank was 4th in all my subjects and my school predicted an ATAR in the 99s with a 2 page reference attached. I've had my heart set on this scholarship for 2 years and I won the UNSW School of Economics Prize Last Year
Not necessarily. Schools tests macro/micro during trials all the time. It's because it's one of the hardest topics to write an essay for and you should have just finished up to that point.
Hi guys, I'm just wondering based on previous experience if anyone knew the raw marks I would need in the HSC to get a mark of 99.6 with the following subjects and raw internal marks:
English Advanced (2/65) (raw marks in the 90s)
English Extension (3/25)
Economics (1/16) (cumulative raw...
my tutor made me do a scaffold of all the past HSC question for all the essays and funnily enough you do pick up a pattern. He predicted an exchange rates question, external stability and macro/micro question. But apparently each year where they've written a hard paper, the following year they...
Yeah I decided to go through it anyways, just want to see what other people thought because a lot of his stuff is solely based on technology, economics, politics etc and I really focus on the impact of navigating the global on identity.
just need some more, so far i have:
1. The God of Small Things (book) - Arundahti Roy
2. Summer Hours (foreign language film) - Olivier Assayass
3. Syriana (film)
so i probably need another 2, preferably not films, but I don't mind.
I'm thinking the non-fiction text, Nine parts of...
So I recently tried to drop chem, but unfortunately couldn't get my parents' signature, so I'm stuck doing it for my HSC. In saying this, how hard is it to get a band 6 in chem. I got 73 for my Trials (highest was 88) and have been averaging marks in the 70s all year. Does this mean i'll only...
Definitely agree with above. I took Ritallin for my Trial exams, i tanked in some (i.e. didn't crack 90s) but then again I didn't really study that hard. But basically Ritallin is really good for keeping you alert and concentrated. I would take it with either Redbull/V or coffee, to really...
