if you accept your first round offers first preference then change your preferences to have something else as first preference, u can receive offers if u meet the cutoff.

im not sure why you guys think you cant receive another offer if you accept the first offer. i know plenty of people that accepted their first round offers, then received 2nd round offers as well.

no. you can accept your initial offer, then change your preferences and wait to see if you get another offer in the 2nd round. if u do get a different offer in the 2nd round, u can accept that and then withdraw from the initial offer you accepted.

and to answer ops question. its possible, but in a lot of degrees, especially at the more prestigious unis, if u dont meet the cutoff then too bad u wont get an offer. however there are a lot of alternative pathways u can consider if u miss out on getting direct entry

unfortunately we don't live in an ideal world. engineering at unsw is going to look better on someones resume than engineering at uws. go8 prestige may not be as big in the engineering field as it is in say commerce or law, but its still there.
