I hear Henry Yip is teaching FINS3641 Security Analysis and Valuation now as of Semester 1 2011. Anyone doing it at the moment want to shed some light on the difficulty and their opinion of the course (or anyone who did it before)?
I am sure this will be very helpful to many Finance students...
So does UNSW have different weightings for the different years regarding overall WAM upon graduation? Someone in this thread said 1st year is 5% but I haven't seen anything on the handbook regarding that for B Econ. Sounds plausible since they do this in the UK, hopefully someone familiar this...
ok in the handbook it says...
Rule 1 - Pass and Honours Degrees
The degree of Bachelor of Economics may be conferred as a Pass degree or as an Honours degree. There shall be three classes of Honours, namely Class 1, Class 2 in two Divisions and Class 3. In cases of superior academic performance...
Oh sorry for the misunderstanding. I was refering to a normal degree per say. Because after you graduate you would get your degree and it would say graduated with first class honor, etc. I wasn't referring to an (hon) degree.
How are the pass and honours for our final degree determined?
Is HD WAM a first honour, D WAM second upper class, C WAM second lower, etc...
Does the uni omit 1st year or have different weightings on different years?

Thanks

We use the present value annuity due formula because we want to find the present value of a future sum (275,000). The trick to that question is...
Not a problem, just keep paying $20k tutoring every year from now, also make sure to pay your employer. Rather than asking us something you can change now, starting changing.
having accepted and enrolled on the internet, i feel as if i will be attending the UNSW online campus or something. Should i be expecting anything in my mail box? welcome pack, more info, acceptance letter, etc.....
Forgive me if i sound like an idiot, but i haven't finalized any accommodation plans as of yet. I am aware all the colleges are probably full since i had no idea i have to plan as early as October last year (i don't live in Australia but i am eligible for csp place). Been put on waitlist in...
thanks for pointing that out, does that mean i cannot do it at the same time? So econ 1102 next semester?
Would i pick an econ course since i plan to major in econ? Do i have to indicate anywhere that i will major in econ?
Sorry but this is all new to me and i have no idea this has to be done now.
