Prelims, for the most part, the talented and/or 'more' academic students don't study for year 11 Just pick up a gear from the long holidays at the end of year 11, and I'm sure you'll achieve solid rankings which will lead to: GREAT ATAR
Yeh, Religion was very boring. No offence to the Indigenous people of Australian Society but an 'abo's' life is very simple, not as complicated as Studies of religion makes it. As for my decent UAI, i'm currently completing Combined: Bachelor of Engineering + Bachelor of Laws!
Yes, its more than possible, all you need is solid Band 5/6 in Chem, Adv. English and 3 unit Maths. Haha, Studies of Religion was put on our preliminary timetable so that ALL year 11 students had to do it. I felt so bad when i dropped off Studies of Religion, as the teacher cried.
Anyways, Dont worry about 'scalers', remember that if you do WELL in a subject or get ranked in the Top 5 of a subject, you'll achieve solid marks.
NOTE: Its your ranking that counts more than your marks.
You'll do fine, just remember, HSC is not about 'hard-core' or cram-studying, if you stick to a 2-3 hour daily study plan for yr 11, and then increase this to between 3-5 hours, i can guarantee that you will get a VERY solid atar, no joke.
Hi, 'aqua 2010'. You sound like a very academic student, and by your blogs, seriously DO NOT emphasise your study on scaling. This is because every serious HSC student has a talent in at least 1 subject, therefore only drop subjects which you feel are very-time consuming.
