Th average mark is 84 dw you’ll be fine unless ur school is rlly low ranked than uhhh you’ll be fine just a bit lessdamn my english teacher must be strict af the highest in my class was 75, yet every other subject we'e excelling
wow im so done for then i got like 75...
#twinswow im so done for then i got like 75...
shes made me avoid english for the longest timegirll then its prolly just the teacher, im sure u will ace the hsc cuz the markers are less harsh anyways!
Yeah I get what u mean but it just makes other people who are doing bad, feel worse. I mean there’s nothing wrong with expressing ur feelings but usually I associate being cooked for when ur actually totally screwed and don’t know anything for the exam. But u can also use it when u just know ur gonna do ‘bad’ for ur standardsI suppose that depends on your definition of cooked - I googled it out of curiosity and they said it means "done and exhausted". I personally take as meaning someone thinking they won't be able to perform up to their desired standard
it's less the hard questions and more the inconsistency of markers imo, "high performing students" sometimes don't even fulfill that prophecy of performing high. even the inconsistency across grades, for example coming first in year 10 vs year 12 should be plenty of proof (whereas the person who comes first in math generally stays first in math)
I agree there could maybe be more sensitivity in who says they're cooked as they could acknowledge that they're doing comparatively well, so I get what you're saying. for example I wouldn't say I was cooked for math. but I feel like it's just a word that's used to express general dissatisfaction - in which case, I would say that my 3U math trial was cooked. I might be using slang wrong but that's my personal take - and this is the 2025 chat after all! it's supposed to be venting for the masses
same #thanksunswgatewaygenuinely i have never been this locked out in year 12 like i studied better for the trials than this
say it louderYeah I get what u mean but it just makes other people who are doing bad, feel worse.
