Hey guys,

I just looked at my holiday economics homework for the first time these holidays, but am thunderstruck by how much I was given. Each module thing contains a ~7-14 slide powerpoint which we are instructed to meticulously write out every word in our exercise books. In total, this would take a week to do, and an ability to grind which I do not possess.

So... the average salary for an Indian is ₹ 642,421 per year or ₹ 257 per hour, which translates to AUD 11,702.50 per year or AUD 4.68 per hour. Let's say the work will take 20 hrs, then it will cost me $93.6 + $3 (to buy my guy an exercise book and a pen) = $96.6. Courier service from India to Australia takes 2-5 business days, so I can receive my work before school starts.

Doing the math the plan seems viable. Hence what do y'all think? Should I continue the great Australian tradition of outsourcing labour overseas, or just tough it up and do the work?

This started as a shit post, but now that I've done half the first module I can confirm that I'd rather get bashed with heavy mining equipment than do this unexciting work. I've posted the job offering on Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad Craigslist (yes I had to find a list of most populace Indian cities cuz I don't know any of them), and am curious to see what responses I'll get. Wish me luck

What kind of "holiday homework" is this anyway. Assigning a whole module during the holidays instead of teaching it in class??? Someone has seriously messed up here in their planning or they're lazy
