Um...well....idk but that's my personal preference

Sketch on one graph y=f(x) and y=f^-1(x): make sure the diagrams are to scale for

f(x)=-ln (x+1)
Do you know how to sketch a log graph in the first place?

Also do you know how to find the equation of an inverse function?

Do you know the relationship between the graph of a function and a graph of its inverse?

Do those really annoying 3D trig problems ome up again in the HSC 3 unit course or 4 unit course?

Tried this inverse function and can't solve it

FInd the inverse function of 8(x-1)^3 and find the domain and range of the inverse function

Same with this one: y=5+ squareroot of (3-x)

Can't quite remeber how to sketch a log graph

YEah you just switch the x and y around and carry yuor restriction throughout

um...yeah
Have you looked through your notes or textbook again to see how to sketch it?

Okay, so using that information what is the equation of the inverse function of y=-ln(x+1)?

Have you looked through your notes or textbook again to see what that important graphical relationship is?

Ok lets start with y=8(x-1)3

You said earlier to swap the x and y to find the inverse function. Do you know how to do that for y=8(x-1)3?

Also do you know how to find the domain and range of that function?

DW already know how to do it

SO you are given y=8(x-1)^3

Divide both sides by 8

y/8=(x-1)^3

Then you expand the RHS

Wait...I can't remeber lol

Wait...

Switch x and y around and now its x/8=(y-1)^3

Then you cube root both sides and its: ______________

Then y=________________ +1

The fact that you don't know how to make x the subject and want to do 4U is a little concerning
